**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

359.06 just completely nerfed SLI for me, 2nd GPU wasn't even showing in NCP so couldn't enable it!

Tried two installs using driver cleaner..same result.

Went back to 359.0 and...SLI now working fine.

Not impressed.

SLI performance in SWBF was rubbish with these drivers, constantly switching between 135fps and 20 for me. SLI and GSYNC issues seem to be quite common with their driver releases recently.

Getting driver stopped and recovered with 359.00 on some older games that I never got before - gonna try the latest hotfix drivers and if not go back to the older hotfix that worked flawlessly for me.

EDIT: Haven't tested it extensively yet but 359.12 were doing the display driver recovery thing every 6 seconds in Skyrim :S and <5 minutes in other older games - even worse than 359.00 - gone back to the 358.59 hotfix and so far its not happening... so far.

Does mean I'll have to mess about if I want to play battlefront again but I got bored of it really quickly so probably won't.

EDIT2: Too early to say for sure but looks like I can play older stuff with k-boost on newer drivers - Skyrim ran ok for awhile whereas before it was kicking out within 5 minutes tops.

2.9 is beta.

The youtube streaming doesn't offload to the GPU correctly and capturing the desktop (i.e. Windowed Borderless) is broken/non existent. It's also the version that implements a problematic in game overlay with hard coded key binds.

Uninstalled it after having massive cpu spikes in game whilst streaming. I've just started using obs and it's far superior especially with all the plugins for monitoring chat if you have a single monitor. Performance is great too.

I do like the ideas in gfe like uploading pics to imgur, coop, youtube streaming but it has a lot to catch up on when it comes to functionality and performance

I hope they increase the audio bitrate from 192 kbps to 320 or above in Shadowplay, I can really hear the difference when using Action which records at 500kbps, Shadowplays sounds very tinny in comparison.

I tried that BETA ShadowPlay thing a while ago, very very unstable....

Has it improved? is it stable now?

Guys I've been away for a while, mainly play GTA V and currently on driver version 356.04.

Is there any point in updating to the latest for GTA?

Been running the latest 359.06 release without any issues, which is saying something for Nvidia recently.

Here too. Most games transfomed into stuttering messes with huge drops in FPS. Rolled back to 359.00 and calm is restored.

The other problem with that is while 192Kbit/s itself isn't a problem as such - if you are doing some editing and mixing the sound a bit you quickly end up with it degraded to sub 128kbit quality if you aren't careful whereas if it was above 320 to start with it would give much more headroom.

Shadowplay doesn't seem to be the best at mxing 5.1 to stereo for recording either so if you are doing that you are best off using stereo sound otherwise it will sound tinny - on some setups it doesn't seem to like it if any device in the audio chain relevant to shadowplay is configured above 16bit.
