**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

New driver installed via NVapp, interesting to note it did not reset the global override for Preset K in profile inspector like all previous drivers had done which meant going back in and changing the 5 flags again. Think from here on NV are enforcing Preset K for everything by default.

Studio drivers?

TBH I'm glad I got a 4080 Super - so far it has been largely trouble free with recent drivers unlike acquaintances who've bought 5000 series GPUs like the 5080 and 5070ti.
Since the largely disappointing 5000 series release, the 4080 / 4080 Super has looked a better purchase than it did a year ago.

This card still kicks butt, no FOMO for me this release :)

Well, I nearly fell out of my chair installing this new driver when during the installation the screen image actually came back after the black screen! I cannot remember when I didn't have to do a hard reset/shutdown during an Nvidia driver install. Just like the good ol' days.
Sadly for me, it was a case of hello darkness my old friend, with a black screen after finishing the installation. Fortunately, power-cycling the monitor brought a display back this time, unlike with the previous Game Ready drivers.

OMG!

They finally fixed the FG problems I had in Indiana and RTX Half-Life with this 576.40 drover, well done those Nvidia interns!

There's probably less than 10 people left on their driver team with AI doing the bulk of the work now which is why their drivers are so hit and miss lately :D

it's the 2nd game ready driver in a row to be like that, (ignoring hotfixes which I haven't installed)

Gotta say UE5 is a trash engine, Oblivion Remastered would either stutter when in motion or run butter smooth, it had a mind on it's own. Hopefully Nvidia can fix the cesspool called UE5. It sucks CDPR ditched RedEngine for UE5, it looks way batter. Now their games gonna look just like from another 2000 game developers.
