**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

My 5070ti was bringing up graphics card errors in stalker, gta enhanced and oblivion remastered ; after i installed the latest drivers .
Gone back to previous driver and oblivion remastered is now working. Yet to try the others.

The drivers are a s **t show.

In the release highlight notes above it says

Fixed General Bugs
  • Flickering/corruption around light sources in Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut [5138067]

I've just tested........and it's not fixed. Why do Nvidia keep releasing 'fixes', state that they work, and they do not work.
My black screen after install on 4090 returned too... :/ I reckon my next gen will be AMD to get proper stable drivers - how tables turned! :p

I'm not updating now unless it's absolutely necessary. I've got a driver that works (except for the multitude of open issues) and doesn't keep black-screening or making my monitors strobe.

I get a problem where randomly -fortunately mainly just once a day , the mouse freezes screen goes black then screen comes back after 10 seconds or so and all back to normal - error log says nvidia , thought this new one would sort it out.

Albeit it no lol.

Yeah same pretty much here in terms of finding one that works from the gazillion that have been released and stick with it. I had fairly infrequent - but nonetheless annoying - black screen issues in a couple of games. Updated to one of the recentish GRD releases and it seemed to fix it for the most part apart from my card wouldn't upclock from idle speeds in some games :D. Then a hotfix driver came and it's been smooth sailing with that one so I'm still on that hotfix driver. Russian roulette with nvidia drivers nowadays.

I am genuinely afraid to update my 4080 drivers now. I call it a win when I “only” get the very odd black screen when alt tabbing and I can fix my washed out HDR issue with a reboot.

Is it a win with Nvidia when you only have to reboot two or three times a day?

No reboot issues here and the black screen bug has not been seen in months after I just mass-reinstalled between Studio and GRD and suddenly it stopped doing the black screen when alt-tabbing from a game lol.

Classic scenes for sure though.

So you did have issues :p

Thought you said you never had any :D

well i spoke to soon had a S??t the brick moment there launched doom eternal to the screen going off completely but could still here my mp3 going lol.

No issues for me on 576.40 or the previous 576.28 drivers. No black screens in use, these two drivers also installed ok over the top without my 2x 4K screens staying black.

On the 576.28 drivers my 4090 spent about 3 days straight converting 4K/1080p films from H264 to H265 via handbrake, also gamed and even watched videos at the same time, and the drivers never gave me any issues. So far even the 576.40 ones are just fine on my system.

This system stays running 24/7, only the screens get turned off physically.
