I think the issue is obviously caused by the introduction of a new architecture in to the mix.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
But while we've seen a few driver wobbles around the launch of new cards on new architecture in the past, we've never seen issues so serious or so slow to be addressed. Plus Blackwell shouldn't really be that different, compared to Lovelace.I think the issue is obviously caused by the introduction of a new architecture in to the mix.
Hey eveyone. I've not been following the last couple of drivers too closely. I'm using the Jan 30th (572.16) driver on my 5090 and it seems ok. Keen to upgrade to one of the latest drivers as i think there is a tiny bit more performance to be had, but i'm hesitant given my PC is pretty reliable as is.
How are folks finding 572.56 (especially those with 50 series cards)?
Nope, it is .52. Sorry for the confusion!I'm on 576.52 (is there a .56?) and it's been fine so far. However, I haven't had any problems since launch, so YMMV.
I've been a bit lucky with both AMD and NVIDIA driver's for many years, although switching back to one monitor might have had something to do with it.
Oopps wrong threadGreat finish Asp
The app can be useful so you can use dlss4 on games that havent got it built in....also the rtx hdr comes in useful for some games and is better than a lot of games built in hdrI have a 5080 arriving tomorrow, whats the general consensus on the latest stable driver with no black screens etc?
Also, is it worth me downloading the nvidia app? I'm building a new pc and I've not had it on my current pc as it doesnt need any extra software to slow it down
E: one final question, does the 5080 prefer to boot from DP or HDMI?
Im on driver 572.70 from the 5th of march on my 4070....it seems to be running ok, would you stick with this driver if you were me until a game comes up that needs a new driver?
Scared of changing drivers these days with nvidia lol

I'm running the new Hotfix 576.66 on a 3060 Ti using 4 displays and no issues so far, though I only play DayZ and a little GTA V but they're running fine atm.I've checked back a few pages and couldn't see an answer to this - are the current drivers stable to use for a 3090?
