I hate writing this, as I'm terrified I'll jinx myself, but I haven't yet had any issues at all with 577.00.

Are we finally climbing out of the valley of the shadow of crap Nvidia drivers?

No. For the 5 years i have been PC gaming (appreciate it's not that long versus many here) is to only upgrade your bios/drivers when you NEED to, e.g. a bug fix or optimisations for a new game release. At least wait a few more weeks for others to test and uncover any niggles.

I love FPS games but have never managed to gel with the Doom series. I tried Dark Ages via game pass (so could thankfully sell the key that came with my 5090) and found it underwhelming. The combat was dull, the plot was naff and the graphics were nothing to shout home about (some of the textures were laughable). If a shooter is single player only it needs to nail all of these.

The time has come. I need to update my drivers to play the BF6 beta.... It won't even let me open the game on my current driver.

Same, I’ve been on 551.76 for ages several iterations after that point would turn random monitors to standby for a couple of seconds when gaming. Don’t really want to update them either as I have little confidence that the issues won’t start up again.

Same here. I can't swear that everything's perfect now, but things are much better than they were a few months ago.

Drivers are so bad my next door neighbours cat has been throwing up someone else’s fur balls all night and my cat is now crawling on the ceiling with its neck turned 180' reciting satanic verses in a demonic voice to the tune of Teletubbies with glowing red eyes... and I don't even have a cat, What the hell Jensen !

I thought demonic ceiling-cats were fixed by 577.00? There was a note on it under "General Fixes".

I don't want to speak too soon, but it seems fine so far all week. And thankfully I quite like the BF6 beta, so it wasn't all for nothing
