Well as the main purpose of the previous has been done I have decided to start the **Official** thread for this meet.

SATURDAY 12TH August 2006-12 noon

It seems that the location I was thinking of it going to be a bit difficult to get to. I am informed that there are a good few bigger pubs which are just off the M1 at J18 which makes it easier to access for most. Here is a link you can use to find some oh the pubs just off J18, I think it makes sense to do this rather than try and work your way through Northampton and find the pub. This new location just off the M1 is only about 15 miles away from the other one, so it should still mean that everyone who has expressed an interest can still make it.

The venue's address is:

THE WHEATSHEAF
Chain: SCOTTISH & NEWCASTLE
15 MAIN ROAD, CRICK, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. NN6 7TU

Here is a quick map to show where the new meeting point is in relation to the old one:

It is called The Wheatsheaf for those close by who may know it, I left the postcode in for people to work out their own directions.

The meet time will be midday at the above location (obviously give or take half an hour as some people have a long journey to get there), introduce ourselves and our machines to one another, generally have a bit of a chat outside then head in for food. Unfortunately we wont be dressed for eating out but who realy cares.
After the food we will then take ourselves down the road for a few miles to admire one anothers bikes out on the open road. People who arent on bikes or dont wish to ride may stay at the pub.
After the ride we will return for an hour or so with a few drinks (non alcoholic only) and have a few laughs. Photo opportunities will be avaliable throughout the day and Mr Six has kindly offered to attend and take some of us in action which is very generous of him.

To be added to this list post with what bike you will be attending on and I will keep the list in this post.

The location was chosen by burbleflop and its a great choice of location. I found out yesterday that a girl I have been chatting to on MSN for some years now used to go to the same pub on a regular basis and she tells me its got a large carpark which is perfect, that means we wont be getting in the way of other guests and the pub.
Its on a large A road so finding it shouldnt be too much of a problem, and I have heard that the A428 isnt a bad road to ride on for those wanting a ride off for half an hour :)

If non-biker members want to attend then they are more than welcome but will have to stop behind as some of us take in a blast thats all. I think piggy said Desmo may be interested in the meet, if thats still the case then you are both more than welcome I am sure :)

Come on people - there was a lot of interest before, put your names down, even as possibilities. :) Either way I'll be there even if I'm only there with Luke and mrgrubby! Heck I'll even go there alone! :p

The location has now been set. The date may have to be a bit flexible owing to weather closer to the date.

Come on Paul!!! You know you wanna be there! :D

And this goes for anyone who just fancies a meet and/or enjoys bikes as it's really a biker meet so going for a "blast" won't really be any fun for car drivers I would have thought.

There's a fair chance I'll actually have taken my test and passed by then - whether I'll feel confident enough to make such a long journey by that point is another matter though... It would be nice to come though so I will see what happens betwixt now and then :)
