Nicely put :D The last thing we want to do is push people into thinking that they have to keep up with the faster guys. This will only cause you to either A: crash or B: have a crap meet because you were too stressed and tense. I stopped going out with a few of my mates because they were always trying to blast about everywhere and I always just held back and rode within my limit. Yet when I take my bike on a track then I do like to blast it about but my mates won't take their bikes on the track for the fear of dropping them :rolleyes:
 
I'm no fair weather rider, have ridden all through 2 winters now :P. But its still a long way in just one day :S. Especially if its then just going to be sitting in a pub all day. If its more, meet up, have a wee drink then go for a nice ride then I'm more up for it.

We're having a spot of lunch, a chat (no alcohol!), admire our bikes, go for a blast, then meet back at the pub or something and then go home! We can even have a blast before lunch if people get there early enough to. :)
 
The girl who I talk to who lives near the pub has just text me and said they wont let us is! She has been in and spoke to the owner of the pub, but she was under the impression that there was going to be 50 odd of us for some reason :confused:

Ive told her that there should be about 10 and we will only need about 3 parking spaces, she said she will go back in and let them know but it should be fine :)

At least we know they are expecting us now :)
 
I guess they were expecting a REAL bikers get together and they were worried we'd scare regular customers away ;)

Hope it's all sorted and ok though. :) I think it'll make their carpark look pretty good having 10 or so bikes parked outside :cool:
 
Hey all,

Looking forward to the meet - hopefully I'll have a new camera by then too :)

I'll be there in the trusty steed (red mk4 golf) and may bring a mate along to get some footage too.

I've had a thought, that perhaps if I bring my leathers and helmet along with me, somebody will kindly let me ride pillion for a little while so I can get some photos "on the move" so to speak, then I can reside by the side of the roads at various points to shoot you all zipping past me too.

Any takers? :)
 
Yes sorry, there has been a change of location and when I took the pic with google earth I left the old one on the map. If you check the pic in the first post you will see the postcode of the pub we are now meeting at :)

Its just off the motorway too so should be easy to find for those not familiar with the area
