I think lukechad is so looking forward to the meet he's going to do it twice ;)

Damn right, I am fitting my new chain and sprockets today, going to give them a run later to get the massive stretch out of the way that they get when new! The last thing I want to have to do is adjust the chain on SATURDAY

Im looking good for the Saturday. Will probably meet you at the Salt box @ 10.

Your going to have to take it easy because im still running it in :D

This may seem like a bizarre question......What exactly we doing when we get there?

O, last thing. I hope you lot dont ride like squids (I'm sure ya dont but i've been on some rideouts which are more like A-Road MotoGP). See ya there :D

If you are going and have to ride past Meir Park on your way to the Salt Box I could meet you at Meir Park Maccy's?

What's wrong with A-Road MotoGP?

 :D ;) Take your pick

A-Road MotoGP = :D Muchos fun.

Stay on the A50 past Stoke FC, keep going then you will eventually get to Meir tunnel, go through it then get off at the slip road a bit further down, turn right at the round about for Tesco and Maccy's is on the left.

Mike- Glad you are still able to make it!

I think the plan for the day is really meet up, have a chat then go for some pub grub after the long rides we have all had. Have a laugh over lunch then we can go for a ride as a group. I dont think a route has been worked out for this but if someone knows the area and wishes to work something out for us that would be great. There will be a photo shoot session with MrSix the meet photographer, this can be a few posing photos or if we find a nice corner we can go for some "action" shots too :)

well, looks like my ZX6 wont be ready after having the fairing repaired from when i dropped it last - doh!

Does mean i may be able to steal my brothers fireblade for the day tho, so not all bad!

As for roads to ride - i know of some great runs assuming no one else does?

Let me know what kinda length of time people woul want to be riding for for this period and i'll suggest some decent routes... Bearing in mind this will be country lane "blast" type roads (but everyone can gos as fast/slow as you want) - how long would people fancy riding this segment for? Could end it at another pub maybe for a chat before shooting off? who knows.

If you know of some more biker suited roads then yes any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, if you wish to lead the way for this part and set a steady pace. If we get a route sorted we can get MrSix ready on a corner with his camera for some good group ride shots :)

Grrr!

Looking less and less likely the ZX6 will be ready, and as for the brothers blade - well he's away this weekend so that means eeither its a go, or it most definately is not :/ gah!

i'll be in touch! but as for runs out, will see what can be done

reet! http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=354735

going clockwise round it

Very briefly here's a potential route which incorporates part dual carriageway (points 1 - 9), with part single carriage non twisty quick A road (points 12 - 17) *cameras in villages*). 18 - 20 is proper open clear quick roads, and 21 - 25 is tight & twisty not too quick small country lane - look out for oncoming). Then back onto open road with cameras in villages 26 - 36. Havent rode 31 to home before, so couldnt comment on quality/type of roads, but seemed best route back to starting point...

hopefully i'm coming, but if not figured this would be useful... It looks a fair way, but tbh would take maybe.... 50 mins at a not too quick pace (probably 30mins if you were pushing it hard). Says its a 40mile loop - which surprises me tbh but the best bits are from 17 - 19 probably...

hope that helps

Good news and bad news.

Bad news: dropped my blade in the back garden on the concrete at 5:30 in the morning on Tuesday and it got damaged.

Good news: It's only a little bit, just a few cracks to the top fairing on the rhs so I can still make it. Woohoo!

Better make sure it still starts.

I'm still up for this - if I can actually get back into the country (as you know I spend most of my life abroad :(). I shall text Luke when I've landed to re-assure him that I am going to make it. I don't forsee any problems but with the airport security nazis who knows...

The weather looks like it's going to stay dry too which is always a bonus.

Lukechad - Can you post up a roll call of who is actually attending?

Its in the first post of this thread mate, thats assuming Pug can still make it, I havent heard from any of the others to say they cant make it so I am assuming they are still all coming along.

I am all set, just need to put the cover back on the front sprocket and give it a quick sponge over in the morning. Meeting fireblade900 and yourself at 10am at the saltbox, I will obviously wait 10-15 mins afterwards incase you are late, i am aiming to get there about 9:50.
