it's for the driving that i'm not gonna drink, could afford the drink but not the accomodation, so easier not to drink and then drive home at the end of the evening :p
 
BTW, Mr. MB, does that cost for the bowling include shoe hire? If so, I expect a discount because I've got my own poncy fancy bowling shoes :)

I was never keen on wearing shoes that hundreds (nay, thousands) of people have worn before!

Ah, Mr Feek, glad you're back. I'll be wanting some tips when we go bowling, some mini tuition, shall we say :D

Why should you have the benefit of Feek's wisdom? Sounds like your pretty good already, maybe I should get up to the alley for a few lunchtimes and practice, so I don't embarrasse myself too much with all you professionals?

Because I asked first? :D

Anyway, I was only mucking about earlier. I only play once or twice a year on birthdays etc. so I'm far from a pro. But I usually get some not bad scores if I'm playing well. We'll just have to wait and see.
 
I was going to suggest that Piggymon and myself should have a competion for the lowest score, but then I realised how easy it is to score zero. Lowest score without deliberately trying might work. :)

Sounds like it could be a very amusing meet :p

MB: currently i'm in bristol, but my non-uni home is crowborough just south of tunbridge wells, not hugely close but not exactly hours away :p

My most impressive blowing feat was to pace up to the line and as I was doing the "backswing" managed to let go of the bowl... needless to say the people stood behind me scarpered pretty quickly! :o
 
The most impressive feat I've seen at bowling was when, on the last ball of the night, my mate ran down the lane and did a full length dive through the pins. Laugh? I nearly **** :D

Bet he was about as popular as an excrement in a public swimming baths with the staff at the alley, still pretty funny though :D

I'm basically rubbish at bowling, I rarely score over 100 and I'm stupidly pleased when I do. So I am prepared to be embaressed. My wife is particularly bad and gets very frustrated about it, I think she will be staying at home in the afternoon, but she will be coming out for beers in the evening :)

Ah well, if we're laying it on the line, the last time I played was earlier in the year for a mates birthday. First game I got 87 which I wasn't happy with. But after a few more vodka's I scored 162 which is a bit more like. So there you go, you can now mock me on the night depending on my score :)
