In firefox I get unknown plugin required. In IE, it seems to open an instance of WMP in situ on the webpage, but nothing happens - it just sits there blank and says done.

I get the embedded player in IE7 but the connection is dead slow here at the moment so haven't seen the video yet - will try again later when all the other users have gone to bed and I'm left here all alone on nightshift

Could try the .wmv version instead of the .avi one. :dunno:

That would have been my preferred option anyway, but the trouble is the server doesn't have ffdmpeg or mplayer to thumbnail them (or do any other manipulation). At the moment I have a pre-compiled binary of ffmpeg that will process the avi, but not the wmv (missing libraries I guess).

I'm looking into statically compiling a binary on one of my boxes. Have never really moved binaries between systems before though, so I'm not sure how far I'll get.
