The OcUK Men of Honour 2011

without sounding like a ****

what has BB done to deserve entity of honour?

Personally, I'm really glad to see BB as a MoH and I'll tell you why. The reason I keep coming here is mostly to do with the sense of community and for a long time BB has been a key person in making the community stronger through organising meets etc. I know that this involves a lot of time and effort and it's nice to see that this is being recognised in some small way.

The London meet was fantastic and well organised :)

Very surprised and a little sad that Gareth didn't get one.

Ultimately though, these Man of Honour awards seem to be targeted at people who have made long term positive contributions to the forums, help other posters etc. The sort of posters who would be very noticeably missed were they to stop posting.

Whilst gareth's thread was great and no doubt played a significant part in highlighting issues of disabled gamers in the wider gaming scene, he hasn't necessarily 'contributed' to the forums in the same sense that the others who have been awarded the title do.

That's not to take anything away from him and what he has achieved (in case anyone tries to infer i'm knocking him) but I just don't think it was really in line with what Spie views these titles to mean.

Congratulations, I suppose!

Though no idea who ichabod crane is, from the hardware sections?

Good to see Siliconslave in there, he's a great contributor.

What tosh, meets are a doddle to organise!

Cheers, I like to see my pictures rather than lots of blur so I stay out of the photography section ;).

You kidding me? Some of the photos in there are brilliant, not all about blur too! You are missing out. :)
