I've only just seen this thread (though Smitho mentioned something about it on MSN a few days back).

I don't think I'll be coming. I'll either be busy that evening or I'll possibly be skiing somewhere in Europe. I haven't decided on the skiing yet (uni related and most people arrive this weekend) and I have a sneaking suspicion a friend is having his birthday that night.

I generally have a very busy Christmas period this year with various things, and (sorry to say) internet meetups are not too near the top of the list :\. You'll just have to get by without my sparkling wit and charm........

cheeky. Yes I do, a nice one I may add. A 1210 mile round trip does seem rather excessive for one night though

Anyway, I did offer you a parking space here, and I'd drive on. That should cut down the amount of driving you do somewhat

how many days does the swansea meet last for? its on saturday so i may have to call in sick (ie: sprained ankle or something) to come on saturday, if i come in the first place

why dont u do it somewhere else? like instead of december, do it in january? more people will come that way, as most work places dont allow holidays over xmas.

Because we do it on the last weekend before xmas.

It isn't moving geographically and it isn't moving in the calendar either.

i wasnt saying u **** move this event geographically

poor choice of words on my part, i just meant why not move the dates is all.

and about when i said do one in london, i didnt mean instead of swansea? i meant someother time like next year etc
