<futurama>Good news everyone!</futurama>

Office do is on the 10th. Meaning I can travel the 8 miles to Swansea easily enough on the 18th :D

Taxi or nag my mates for a lift (I think nag, it'd be £40 for taxi there and back).

So count me in!

I should be coming to this me thinks. Attended the loughborough meet earlier this year and this can only be bigger and better.... and loughborough was awsome.

Is this is *offical* put your name down thread or just an interest gauge thread??

Why not have the night in the midlands instead, would make more sense, more people on these boards from the midlands than anywhere else isn't there?

It's in Swansea. End of discussion.

The theory behind this is if you venture a suggestion and then people make posts saying why isn't it here? Why don't we change it? Why can't we all wear pink? Why is it in a pub?

And then you change it, you end up making constant revisions of date place etc.

Pick a place/ time make the suggestion and stick to it, change it once and you'll never get it arranged.

If you want to arrange a Midlands meet I'm sure no one will complain, hell I might even come to that too.

I'd love to come to this one, I'll have a word with the gf to see if she's up for it, don't think we have anything planned for that weekend though :)

The Swansea meet is infamous. I guess there'd be plenty of support for a midlands meet, but you can't expect them to drop Swansea and re-locate, and they won't. Start another thread if you want :)

Can somebody summarise the general opinion(s) of the hotels people are going to be staying in.

Been reading back through the thread and cant really suss the better places where people are going to be staying... Might be something to do with it being a monday :D

I've looked at my shift rota and I'm off that weekend.
Plus, the bride can see her father and friends.
I'll run it by her later, she may come along as well.
This time, I will look towards the back of the pub for everyone, instead of standing like a jaffa drinking on my own for 1/2 an hour near the bar.:)

The Marriot is the safe bet really. You get secure parking for your flash motor, a decent breakfast, a nice bed, satellite TV and your own bathroom for throwing up in ;).

So far we have the Dolphin reviews of which can be found here http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...lphin_Hotel-Swansea_Southern_Wales_Wales.html and is apparently £40/ night but has no parking

and the Marriot reveiws here http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...riott_Hotel-Swansea_Southern_Wales_Wales.html £70/ night which does have parking.

Thats all so far

Thanks guys! The Marriot will prolly get my $... will probably take the chance of a nice drive down so parking is a must!

Quite looking forward to popping my swansea cherry actually :D

Well, I'm gunna do my research and see if I might be able to make it too, but failing that I'd be well up for a Midlands meet at some point :)

We're planning another Loughborough meet soon... Stay tuned ;)

There are loads of B&B's on the sea front, some from £15 a night, and you can park outside most, Friend of mine came down to the last meet on same day and still got a room for about £20.

Just a suggestion :)
