*** The Official AirPods {all gens} (and AirPods Pro [and AirPods Pro 2nd generation]) thread ***

Well I’ve had a chance to test out the pros and I must admit that I’m very impressed. They sound much better than my other wireless iems. I even tested them out on a number of phone calls and was told that the sound is no different (as in they could hear me exactly as if I was talking using the phone normally)

it’s my first foray into anc and I’m impressed with how that works. Drowns out the noise of my computer case fans just lovely.

fit wise they are ok, the right one fits perfect. The left one feels loose though. I’ve ordered some comply style tips to see if that helps out. I’ve tried all the different sized ear tips that came with them.
Overall I’d consider £143 a cracking deal for them.

Been using my Airpods Pro for around a year now, got them as a bday gift from the wifey. Literally use them everyday at work, they're comfortable and the battery life on them is pretty amazing and doesn't take long to charge either. Can't complain at all! Bonus it came with free 6 months apple music ha!

I got some Beats Fit Pro to try out too and I agree with the above post, they are really good and not having anything hanging out of your ear is a bonus, I’ve more than once knocked my APP out when removing a mask.

The fact they have longer battery life and physical buttons is a bonus too.
Got these today. Great earphones. Comfy, great sound, stay in. Much much better than AirPods Pro in my opinion.

Does anyone have recommendations for replacement tips for the Airpods Pro? I'm using the largest size and they sort of fit ok, but if I move my mouth in any way (even to take a sip of tea) then the Airpods will dislodge from my ears.

I've tried foam tips but didn't get on with them. I like the OEM style tips but I think I'd like something a bit bigger. Recommendations please.

Stupid question time. I have the AirPod Pros and have a Mac, iPhone and iPad, and I'm confused about how you are meant to swap devices with the Pros. For instance, I have Apple Music playing on my Mac, but I want to make a phone call on my iPhone. I want to quickly change my AirPods from my Mac to my iPhone to make the call and then quickly change them back to my Mac to keep listening to music. I'm probably missing something obvious, but I'm new to the Apple ecosystem.

I’m sure there’s a couple of ways round it however what I do is link my MacBook to send and receive calls/texts. So you just initiate the call on the mac and you don’t need to swap over anything.

Thank you. I think I found out how to do it. If you have your AirPods Pro on your Mac you go to the control centre on the iPhone and there is a circle with an arrow pointing up and if you click that it'll switch to the iPhone.

I'm hoping to pick up either a pair of AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro in the next month or so.
I appreciate on paper the Pro's make more sense as they don't cost much more (£30 at the time of writing) but I fall into the camp of silicon ear tips being the devil, however from what I gather the Pro's are the "least worst" in this department. On the flip side I am one of the lucky ones who can use the standard AirPods without issue, and indeed prefer to - this is partly why I'm still using my OG AirPods.
Anyhow, can anyone recommend anywhere in the UK to sell my current AirPods? I fully appreciate no-one particularly wants to use my crummy almost 6 year old earphones but there's bound to be websites that buy them? My first port of call was Music Magpie but they won't take anything older than the Gen 2 with wireless charging case.

I bought the 3rd gen AirPods, I prefer them to the Pro's as they fit sooo much better for me, don't "pop" out after a little while, but there is no noise cancellation on the 3rd get though.

Yeah I expect the 3rd gens would fit me better than the Pro's.
The only tangible reason to buy the Pro's is for the ANC but I personally wouldn't get much use out of it anyway - if at all.

The ANC really isn’t a deal breaker for me - as I mentioned I hardly ever need it. I live in the countryside, I very rarely use public transport and might fly a couple of times a year so the situations that would normally take advantage of ANC are not ones I be in often.
My initial thought was just for the sake of £30 I may as well buy the pro’s but there’s just the silicone tip issue.

Don't forget spatial audio with the Pros. It is awesome. Noise cancelling is a must-have feature for me for various reasons, and I find it works well on the Pros. I can't hear anyone knocking on my door when I listen to music, and they are heavenly for sleeping if you have noisy neighbours.
