This may be a stupid dumb question but I’ll ask anyway...
I have an iPhone 8 Plus and a IPad Pro.
I use the Pro as a tv in my bedroom using the Sky Q app, Netflix etc.
Will I be able to use the HomePod as a speaker for when I watch movies?

You can playing a film from iTunes not sure about others.

I only wish I could create a larger set,
I have 5 in various rooms and it would be nice to sync music to play over all at once (like I can do with my Echo Plus's)

In time I'm sure!
and to echo above, Stereo pair is most certainly more than the sum of its part, a lot more!

iOS 12.1 update for HomePod is now available.

Release notes state - 'This update includes general improvements for stability and quality.'

Update comes in at 3.05GB

Added a second homepod at the weekend after picking it up from Currys Black Friday sale offer.

Using them to output the audio from my Apple Tv gen 4, my god what a difference that extra Homepod makes :)

Cheers all

I've got one coming for Christmas (with the wife getting a S3 Apple Watch).

Lots of Apple Music on over the festive period - can't wait to get it.

I bought my first one back in March, still really pleased with it I am sure you will be with yours :)

Cheers all

I am thinking of getting 2 home pods for my study to operate in stereo. All my kit is Apple but I use Spotify, am I still going to be able to play my music in stereo? Not bothered about voice control.

You'll be able to Airplay your Spotify music to the Homepods.

You will need to AirPlay it using your phone/mac/iPad.

With an alternate such as Sonos they will play it natively.
