Mine arrived a couple of hours ago.

Definitely feels a bit snappier.

Remote is nice and passed the wife test so that’s all that counts.

Finally got the latest YouTube UI aka the one literally every other device has.

Just tried this it’s ok but does add some noticeable delay.

Hmm, I should imagine that'll be fixed. hope so anyway. It also frustrates me that this is excellent functionality - marred by the cancellation of the homepod. Can only assume it was planned before they wielded the axe on the homepod, or they have a soundbar with camera/siri/ATV built in planned.

Did not realise they cancelled the HomePod. Hope they don’t stop supporting it have 5 of the things….lol

Audio out homepods sounds ok but not as good as my soundbar so will not use. It’s an interesting idea though. Also have to have my Arc hdmi for Apple TV only so need to swap leads.

My one has arrived. What a great update from the ATV4, it plays everything with no stuttering and it is much faster to use. I did not mind the old remote but the new one shows up the inadaquecies of the older one.
Can’t say my old one stuttered at all and that’s playing 70+ GB 4K UHD rips.

Got mine this morning as well. First time Apple TV user and very impressed. I normally hate Apple accessories like mice abs trackpads - always feel badly designed or not that functional. This TV remote however is brilliant and feels very good to use. It also feels really sturdy and reassuringly heavy.

Got mine earlier today (first Apple TV) and I’m a bit disappointed/underwhelmed. The user profile switching doesn’t really work as well as I’d like and I’d forgotten it still doesn’t do bitstreaming audio.

The remote seems nice although I have mis-pressed a few times where it thought I’d swiped not clicked.

As a first time ATV user I *really* like the way my phone will pop up when a keyboard is onscreen though.

What's the diff between all the HDMI versions? I've never paid attention to that nor ever upgraded cables since getting them during the PS3 day but I seem to be getting Dolby Vision and Atmos.

Different bandwidths essentially more data being passed. HDMI 2.1 is the latest consumer available standard and supports up to 48gbps.

have a look here for more info…
