watchOS supports CallKit so there’s no restriction from Apple, the problem is there’s no WhatsApp app for watchOS which is the issue.
Have any Ultra owners (first edition) noticed a massive decrease in battery performance since the latest watch OS?
It can’t be a coincidence!
Easily. I'm coming up to the end of the third day with my U2 and the battery is at 31%On the ultra 2, I’m pretty confident I can get 3 days with AOD. Pretty impressive coming from my old Series 4 which struggles getting through a day.

Default config? Have you turned off any features?Easily. I'm coming up to the end of the third day with my U2 and the battery is at 31%
Dunno, I just restored from the same settings I had on my Apple Watch 7. I have AOD on and noise off.Default config? Have you turned off any features?
I have palmed my S4 to the wifey, so it will have at least another years of use.Don't say things like this - I'm still trying to eke another year out of my poor S4.
not all of the watches have all of the features. As has been suggested get a 7 or an 8 the ses are missing some of the features. ectI thought instead of making a new thread I’d post in here.
I am wanting to purchase an Apple Watch. I’ve never had one before and the sole main reason for wanting to purchase is to monitor heart/fitness.
What would be the recommendation here? An SE,8/9? Ultra is over kill?
I’m rather confused by it all.
