Nick why is there no colour?

I'm not familiar with CCD imaging I thought the filters add the colour?

The first image is just one channel

I need to sort out some issues so that the images for each channel overlap precisely for the final version

When i've seen pictures/diagrams of the observable universe, why is there only 2 opposite 'cones' with the rest of the 'circle' missing?

Comet ISON

This is the orbital trajectory of comet ISON, The comet is currently located just inside the orbit of Jupiter. In November 2013, ISON will pass less than 1.1 million miles (1.8 million kilometers) from the sun's surface.
