Very few of the team that worked on BF4 are still working for DICE. This game was all about leeching as much money as possible from the playerbase (skins etc)

I played for a couple of hours last night, net code has been improved along with in game sound.
I played about 4 hours today for first time since January. I was disappointed to see all my keybinds had been reset and it took me a good 30 minutes to rebind them all again !
Got matchmaked into a couple of servers that were completely empty apart from me. When playing portal it's evident from the scoreboard most of the "players" are bots, with maybe 10 - 20 human players.
As for everyone having cried about lack of voice chat in the 4 hours I played no one used it once.
However I did have a couple of fun games on 64 player breakthrough. The problem with this game is that all the maps are too big.
The graphics are pretty good it's a shame they chose to use a cartoony art style.
I'd still rather play BF4 or BF1 over 2042 though

Good summary of the situation. How are the servers for BF4 and BF1, do they have many people on them?
Reason i ask is i might reinstall both games and start playing those again...
The maps are just generic open spaces with a few buildings randomly scattered around them. There's barely any sense of actual design to them, it's like they're the result of some random map creator program that just spits them out after a few minutes.
They're supposodly meant to be reworking the maps, which probably means scattering some more buildings about them randomly so they play less like a Sahara desert jogging simulator.
The worst lag I have ever experienced in the game since launch! - Knifing someone 7 times to finally kill them ( in the back ), shots going through people, invisible walls etc. Plus the Condor spam is out of control and they are taking way too much to bring them down. One of our team mates rage quit, and I followed soon after.
The skins they keep bringing out are also not beneficial to the game, i mean seriously how is a sniper skin any good causing half the team snipe?

The worst map of all for this, is the snow map breakaway? I Can't remember the name, but it's ridiculous that a tank can still kill people from the cliff top almost towards the end of the round
BF4 AND BF1 servers are mostly full - you often have to queue a few minutes to get a game. Popularity has spiked since the failure of 2042
Maps are too big, and there are far too many helicopters etc.

Again, I don't know if it's just me but I don't like the ADS. It's exactly the same as COD, no matter how many adjustments I make the ADS is off... The old mechanics of BF series work from hip to ADS, this BF2042 is just a mess.

Is anyone else getting BSoD when trying to run BF 2042 ? ...something about STOP_CODE error ? but it only happens when I try to run BF 2042, BF V seemed ok.
It only started today too....but I did notice that the game has been a bit choppy from when they did that update a few days back.

Gave the game a go last night, What a steaming pile of doggy poop poop it still is, Game runs like...On medium settings, Everything looks washed out regardless of settings too.
I just don't understand how they really managed to screw up such an amazing franchise other than greedy Shareholders/bosses pushing too hard.
All these absolutely ruin the game for me.
Not only the above, Seen numerous articles posted yesterday showing that they are rumoured to be adding Microtransactions.

- AI/Bots...why just why
Remove 128 "Players" and keep it 64 REAL players. - Maps way too big.
- Lack of transportation as they are constantly occupied by other players.
- Lack of teamwork. Hardly anyone revives or does any form of teamwork.
