Saw someone on another forum claiming to be playing the alpha on Xbox 360 :p gonna reply to him now ;)

He's claiming on the 360 alpha you can use choppers :p and the maps available are Wake Island, Strike at Karkand and Operation Metro

Oh dear, waiting on his reply now :)

That's not true, it will still probably be way larger than BC2.

The battlefield main series maps are HUGE compared to the Bad Company ones.

The game would be appalling if they changed it to 24 players without reducing the map sizes, you'd never find anyone.
 
there was mention of less vehicles and toned down destruction somewhere, but it just related to the beta (or alpha?) testing.
 
Is anyone buying this on console even though they have a capable PC? I can't quite decide whether higher fidelity graphics and increased player count makes up for the ease, simplicity and comfort of getting it on console.

Im getting it on console because my mates will have it on console, I want reliable and communicative people to play with and dont know anyone who will get it on pc so...

Would rather have less players/smaller maps but good squad mates rather than bigger maps and playing with useless randoms.

PC has an i7 930 "nehalem" CPU
Corsair XMS DDR 3 6 gigabyte
Gigabyte GA - X58A UD3R


With a decent graphics card would my PC run it well? And if so what graphics card would you recommend?

Thanks... the game looks absolutely mind blowing and looks like it would get me back into gaming properly.

What resolution? I run a 5870 at 1920x1200 similar spec and it played the alpha very well, but you didnt get much in the way of tweaking graphics (I did have it set to high but thats the only option it gave). So probably cant answer this properly till beta.
