Anyone else think the gunships are too weak? They seem to get shot down within seconds and hardly make an impact at all. They don't have any AA guns anymore either I've noticed unless I'm mistaken. Just seem crap to me.

For what they are yes, in fact nearly all the weapons on this seem be have been lifted from la la land.
 
Im so curious as to how this got reviewed bu everyone and none of these problem where seen, even the likes LvelCap etc...all of them had early plays and all of them spoke about how great it was...what the hell is going on there then?
 
We had loads of issues last night. I tried for about 20 minutes to get into a game and gave up and replayed single player (after the first time I played it didn't register on my achievements or on the scoreboards)

So after playing it a second time on Hard I have this to say about the single player:

** Warning Rant Mode Engaged **

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought it was awful then, when I was at the end hanging from the bridge about to kill one of the characters who I gave zero craps about, I thought to myself... "what has happened in this game?" I couldn't answer my own question.

Probably the worst single player game I've played all year.

Playing through Blops2 campaign at the moment and its about 100 times more immersive and engrossing and has decent characters.

I hope its all patched and fixed by the time I buy my Xbone next year.
 
So Multiplayer.

Mobile AA, what a joke that has became, guns that can now tear anything apart ( apart from people on the ground?!?!?), and Missle lock on and reload times at a STUPID pace, making anything that thought about flying once on many maps a waste of time, mostly the C-130, that is no made of paper and whose guns have extremely limited movement now.

FIM-19 I think for an over the shoulder weapon, it locks on FAR to fast, has a better range than any of the copters, and faster reloading time.

Why have all that tanks, copters, boats all been nerfed in the fact of this stupid notion that the bullets/ missiles suddenly take longer to reload or something, what utter stupidity.

NO counter measures work, they are all useless and don't get rid of any incoming attacks, especially on tanks where the smoke cloud is now good for about nothing, ECM Jammer cloud thingy might work, but then the missile might spin around in front of you for a moment then hit you anyways. Same for boats.

about 1/3 of the maps feel like they where just taked on, the railway one...what the hell is that?...about 10 buildings and the rest just a big open space!?...

Input lag...im having to hit reload maybe twice on a lot of occasions to reload.
Bullet lag...its not even lag, its inherently built in now, empty a clip into someone in front of you..nah..he has you pinned in two bullets from a tine PDW style weapon.
The entire Recon class is laughable now how much power each and every weapon has become, and the fact they can shoot faster than most handguns.

Scout, and Vipers etc, when did Attack Helis become so damn slow?...and weak, the missles arnt good for much, in the gunner position you are already nerfed with that stupid reload slow down, but also the normal cannon is just so damn weak now.
Scouts handle fine, but the mini guns blow nice little puffs of air from a hamster, good for nothing, esp against other Birds that if you had good enough skill you could take them out with those alone, now you can easily get tanlged going back and forth with each other, locking on..shooting, not actually making ANY lasting damage, you fly about...he heals himself pretty damn fast after that or suffer some bad random loss of control ( that usually results in you just being KIA and not from a actual weapon attack as you plummet to the ground) then go back and forth back and forth...assuming the AA that has to be on EVERY MAP hasn't got you already, not that you team can help as the AA can sit in the safety of its base and still be able to lock on to you!

Jets...bloody overpowered jets...don't seem to have suffered any of the reload slowing problem and can strife run on a paper C-130 in a single run and you are killed in it, total imbalance when pitted against that and Helis, you don't stand a chance.

The shoulder mounted portable AA has become pointless in the game due to the "critical hit" mechanism. Hit a helicopter with it and unless they have the gyro stabiliser equipped they just pile straight into the ground and give you no points for killing them or the vehicle destroy. They don't get the ground infantry any decent points or kills, and just serve to annoy the people flying.

The miniguns on the littlebird are useless, but unlock the 25mm cannon and then you can seriously start raping people, when you're not being shot by a stinger from the passenger seat of another littlebird who are a full squad up of engineers in the back making them invincable... except when your doing the repairing and the pilot can't fly for **** and crashes and kills you all.

And agreed about the AA, I played a game of Langcang dam conquest last night and repeatedly shot everything out of the sky.

As for the countermeasures, the smoke screen doesn't break radar locks anymore, its only a visual screen. You need active protection which blocks even unguided shells and missiles for a short period. Very handy when you see an engineering lining up at you. Biggest problem is that damn critical hit mechanism again which sees you paralyzed and unable to get out of the next RPGs way.

Yup

They go down in seconds to the mobile AA.

Whats even more annoying however is when you're getting shot to **** by the enemy one and your team's mobile AA is taken up by somebody who doesn't even try and shoot them.

When there's mobile AA in the game, there should be way for the gunship to dominate, but I've had it repeatedly where our team's mobile AA driver is just looking off into the distance oblivious to the carnage the gunship is causing.

The problems were seen, but the excuse given was that it was beta code, and they were made to sign an NDA saying they couldn't talk about the crashses. Problem is, the game came out and there were loads of bugs still in the gold code.

When it came to the launch event, nobody was allowed to play the XBox one multiplayer. only the single player which was more finished and less buggy. They only get to play the PS4 multiplayer

Hilarious how many times me and Brown_Pants killed each other simultaneously :D

I wasn't happy with the amount of times people just used vehicles to crush me rather than shoot me. I had a helicopter land on me and kill and then I dropped off a ledge in front of a tank and got run over by it :eek: Bloody noobs that can't shoot properly! :p
