*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

Glad I didn’t rush in to my new build for this. Disappointing to hear you all talk so indifferently about it.

Battlefield 2 was my favourite game ever and Battlefield 3 was the last I played before I left the PC crowd.

Maybe I’ll just get Battlefield 4. Is there still a decent community?

I was playing BF4 shortly before the release of BF5. I only got BF5 on premier cause a few friends got it and I wanted to give it a go. I don't think I'll be renewing it come the month end. BF3 and to a little bit of a lesser extent, BF4, were both really good. I don't get the same feeling from BF5

This is much better than bf1 imo, in fact its WAY better, yeah its not perfect and needs more optimization etc but overall it blows bf1 away

Needs more maps that aren't bland turds, the bomber spam reduced, aa bugs removed and aa buffed against bombers. More vehicles, more weapons overall.

Looks like this game has flopped hard. Sales figures are out and it's sold next to no copies, not even during the first week.

I suppose they DID recommend not buying it if you don't like the idea of DICE/EA re-writing historical events with feminist undertones. I guess gamers listened :D

Sales figures don't include digital downloads, which is going to add a lot to those numbers.

Just like Fallout76, the price is already dropping fast on key sites. Which means it isn't selling and they want rid of stock asap.

Pre-order numbers were very poor as well though.

Just feels like Dice jumped onto the Feminist bandwagon that was trundling around at the time and got burned for it. That tool telling people "if you dont like it don't buy it" also didn't help matters. Trying to turn a WW2 game into a bra burning signal of virtue was a bit of a stupid idea.

Not to mention the utterly ridiculous reveal trailer that just left people scratching their head wondering if this was meant to be some kind of alternate reality WW2.

BF3 was the pinnacle for me. BF4 was ok but as an all round game BF3 was amazing. Still is a really good game.
