*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

You're probably right but it shouldn't allow you to prone there if that's the case. I've experienced this too, it's like it lets you prone than slowly realises half your body is in a wall and tries to push you out again :D
Yea i think thats exactly it (i was thinking how best to explain what i thought was happening).

Change your gameplay up or go play something else.

Or maybe THEY should change their gameplay up? Losing because at least a quarter of your team are busy attempting to be "1337 Pvt Sniper Vasilli Zaitsev Jacksons" gets a bit tiring. I've lost count of the amount of occasions i've been playing and came across 5 or 6 of these knobs all clustered within about 10 feet of each other doing their best "Mr Magoo goes sniping" impersonation. To the enemy team it must looks like a set of football floodlights has been installed on a hilltop. Thats 5 or 6 players that could be pushing and defending objectives instead of being utterly useless.

Yeah I read this morning BFV release sales are 63% down on BF1 release sales - Not looking good for them.

Shouldn't have messed everyone around with the poor release dates then letting people pay extra to play early. Typical EA BS!

So glad I didn't pay for early access and damn glad I did pay £60+ for Deluxe like some did.

Sorry but game is seriously lacking content. Lvl 30 and bored already...

Needs more maps quickly.

Have to agree, i'm not bored with it but some of the maps are just good looking crap really. There's only a few that i like playing on, and i think dice shot themselves in the foot by not revisiting classics from Bf 1942 like El-Alamein, Omaha and Market Garden.

Ironically the game has the mechanics a lot of the players bitched about wanting for years like no "dorito" spotting and no rng weapons mechanics. But it's looking as though it could well be another Battlefront 2.

2/6 maps are complete trash, at least on Conquest, those maps being Fjell and Hamada.

The game is badly lacking in not just maps but weapons and progression, I don't care what my character looks like so the assignments for clothing are meh, as are assignments for company credits which just unlock clothing.

Im probably 25 hours in and already starting to get bored.

The game play is fantastic but as you said even though they are beautiful the maps are bang average. None of them really stand out as great. Arras being the only one I actually like. Most of them are cluster deaths in the middle of the map. BF1's Map selection was better but even that wasn't a patch on BF3 & BC3.

It would be nice if the server browser could have a percentage meter showing how long the game you're about to join has been going, bit annoying loading in a map then immediately loading another as the game has ended just as you joined.

I too don't care about skins (I'm not a kid :p) however, the Company Credits are also used for the weapon specializations.

Yup, one of the good things about Battlelog. Together with a **** load of other good things.
The tablet style UI, from BF1, is just the pits. I loathe it.

That's true, although credits from just normal levelling up should cover that.

I'm level 34 and have 25K odd credits with nothing of interest to spend it on.

With regards to the poor sales, I thought I'd definitely buy this on release (bought BF3, 4, 1 on release), but so far haven't got round to it and probably won't bother now until it's cheaper and there's more content.

My impressions, rightly or wrongly, from what I've read so far are that it's:

+ Nice gunplay
- Soulless
- A bit of rushed job, buggy
- Absolutely not a WW2 game - why bother skinning it as one if you aren't going to do it properly?
- Nothing new
- Furnished with dull maps
- More about the clothes than anything else

BF1 was genuinely a bit original, considering the setting, and it was always going to be interesting to see how it panned out. This one just comes across as a half-arsed.
