*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

Wil this run ok (60 fps) on 3770k and a 1070ti at 1440p?
I managed that fine on a 3770k @4.5ghz and 980ti (also 1440p) although upgrading to a 2700x has improved fps notably on a couple maps that had my 3770k struggling. I run everything ultra except for the nonsense film grain, chromatic and vignette effects, and low TAA. Tbh there are times where I think I should notch one or two settings down to high to smooth out a couple sections of the maps where I've seen dips, but that's my gpu.

Really like 5 a lot better than i did 1. Whats the agenda for any new maps with 5?? Did i see somewhere that there not making DLC? How is that going to work?

They are making extra content like maps and gun but are releasing for free. It's a question of how much content we get though, BF1 got loads but you had to pay for that.

Given the state the game was released in, I'm actually surprised they "found" any issues to begin with - didn't think Dice bothered with testing things

Patch delayed

Panzerfaust buffed

Do these idiots even play their own game?

Oh and as for skins for tank customisation, a pic of one was included in the stream last night, around 27000 coins to get one.

Are we still getting a new map today?

Also, I've never experienced this in any other battlefield game before, or any game for that matter on PC but every now and again on certain maps the sounds cuts out for anything from 1 to 5 seconds. It's so strange, and then resumes. Does anyone else have this issue?

I find it strange that this version of Battlefield has bugs like this but all previous versions ran fine for me.

Also why is there so much hate for this game? I actually love it, I really liked Battlefield 1 too but I prefer battlefield 5, I only play Domination with 32 players, it's great.

To put it as directly as possible

We ain't getting **** til they fix the bugs in their patch.

Says a lot for their competence, they advertise the update release before they're even sure its ready to go and find problems literally at the last minute. Pretty sure the sensible thing to do would have been test the update THEN advertise a release date, but Dice and Sensible don't go together too well.

It just feels that everything is being rushed with this game and done as cheaply as possible (marketing, man power, etc.). I'm almost sure it's a quick cash in using lots of BF1 resources while they're probably already working on another Battlefield, more than likely based in the modern era. BFV will be short lived and they'll announce another one in 18 months.

It's not that bad a game. I think it's actually quite good and an improvement on BF1.

No it isn't bad, after initially disliking it I'm getting into it, but it does seem like there aren't many weapons, some maps are bad and with no premium I'm not sure how long they're going to keep adding stuff.

They ditched premium. Because it was causing a segmented user base. Now premium is free for all.

Get home > have food > Put PC on to DL new patch > wonder why nothing is happening > check here > ohhh for ***** sake DICE!

Coming up next, getting killed by more Ju88s on spawn...

Considering how broken some of the patches were in BF1, remember the Russian DLC patch that broke all the servers, how broken must it have been from them to pull it.

Patch delayed to 'add polish'.

Where have we heard that before? They're busy polishing something other than the game, much like the extra couple of months pre release.
