I think the build up has been underwhelming and BF1 never quite scratched the BF itch. Having said somethings building prior to release, some genuine community buzz that could only exist outside of a hype train.

What was the verdict from those that played the beta?

Best game engine in the world visually.
Audio is fantastic.
Physics is amazing.
Gameplay usually is a bit meh.
3 out of 4 isnt bad tho.

Buying for the visual aspect solely is worth it IMO.
Usually it ends up kids playing a map that has a corridor so they can run back and forth.

I was on my old system that was an i5 3570k @4.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM and a 970 4GB, so performance wise it wasn't great, but for what i managed to play, the gun play was very good.

However, i'm still not pre-ordering as i'm waiting a few months to see what the state of the game is.
 
I think I may buy it. I hate myself, feel dirty and certainly an absolute hypocrite.

BF needs competition. Though having said that, if they carry on getting more casual and CoD like, they're heading towards different competition.

I'll wait until after release however before I decide.
 
I just hope this isn't a game where planes > all. After bf1 and dice with their genius move to give the biplanes a tank cannon which the tanks had no way of combating a change of pace is needed.

I'm in the same boat! I was so disappointed when it was announced, since I expected a modern Battlefield, but I'm seriously considering it at this point. I've played PUBG to death, which is one of the major reasons. I wasn't impressed with Hardline or BF1, but it can't be any worse, surely?

Love females in a game.
Looking at a guys butt all day isn't my idea of fun gaming

War isn't fun but games should be.
