*** The Official BlackBerry Z10 & Q10 Thread ***

I feel like I'm indirectly being a troll because I'm calling it "fugly" but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'll have you know that I've actually had a Blackberry for every phone since I've had a smartphone (Curve 8900 with the trackball that I miss every day, Bold 9780 with it's sleek looks, Bold 9900 with touchscreen & keyboard and now Blackberry Z10). Having used an Android and an iPhone there is one thing that I can't live without and that is the hub. All BB OSes have had some form of it, but it really is amazing in BB10. I'll be buying a Classic as soon as it's released.

Dont worry its only a matter of time before Apple incorporates a hub like system into iOS then tell the whole world that they were the first to design it:p.

Pretty sure Android will try and do something similar too...

Anyone managed to get their hands on one yet?
Yas, has your order shipped?

Ideally I would like the Passport specs in a Classic body but we know for fact that isn't happening.
I think I'm going to hold out for the Classic even though it won't be any sort of upgrade from my Z10, spec wise.

Quite a few people have managed to get hold of one on crackberry. As for me??, sadly it hasnt shipped as i got an email saying it was out of stock so must have missed out. They wont be shipping till 6th oct but i found another online retailer in the uk that is selling it for the same price as blackberry shop £440 delivered. Cancelled my order with blackberry shop and ordered with these guys...so will see if it ships on monday or not.

http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/contract-mobile-phones/blackberry-passport is where i ordered from.

The classic is another that im interested in but dont think ill buy one as im pretty happy with my time that i spent with the passport.

Going to roll down to carphone today to see if they have any for me to play with and potentialy upgrade to, dependant on what they can do with my contract.

YAS, if you don't mind me asking, what SIM deal are you going with? As I've found a pretty good one with O2 through CPW.
I always go with O2 as it's the only provider I get signal with in certain areas.

Phone cost: £129
Monthly Cost: £33
Unlimited Minutes
Unlimited Texts
5GB Data

Morons at CPW wouldn't let me look at one unless I bought it. Gonna pop to selfridges later and have a look and then order online if I want it.

Not going with any sim deal as im with vodafone on a rolling 12 mth sim, £23 a month, unlimited calls/texts and 4gb of data.

I always buy my phones unlocked/sim free, never buy from a network.

Voda told me they are waiting on stock before launching over the phone today.

I used the phone today. It's very wide, but I very quickly adapted and began to enjoy it. it isn't pocket breaking, it's as wide as my wallet which sits in my front pocket at all times anyway.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger tonight.

Or i was going to until MPD doesn't take Amex. I want my 5% cashback!!

Got mine today finally, £440 all delivered which is a lot cheaper than other places ie expansys, selfridges, cpw amongst a few others who are selling it for £530.

Absolutely love it, its big and wide but after a couple of hrs ive got used to it now. Missed the physical keyboard a lot and even though this is only 3 rows rather than the usual 4 rows...it really isnt that difficult to use. Of course for some people there will be a learning curve, for me there was as ive spent the last 2 yrs with the Z10 then the Z30 so have to get used to using the physical keyboard.

This phone isnt for everyone, ill point that out...its not meant to compete with iphone or the million and one Androids out there. But so far from my own useage and looking at other peoples views on the internet...it seems to be swaying quite a few people.

Already have had 4 people where i work ask me what is that lol. They were quite impressed by the screen quality and the trackpad functions of the keyboard.

I really think the 'Either you're a passport, or you're not' is the truth. I LOVE this phone. I absolutely adore it. I cannot imagine a phone better suited to my needs.

I really do want it but I'm such a one handed types on my Z10, and with the swipe-up words on each letter, I can plow through emails and texts with one hand with ease

Got mine this morning at 8am, was meant to get it yesterday but somehow the place i ordered it from messed up my order.

Anyhow not really much to say as ive given my thoughts on the phone itself. Was itching since last week to get my hands on one without having to give it back.

Loaded all my data onto it so im good to go, will be keeping my z30 as my backup or i may sell it...depending on how i feel.

Had to go to my local vodafone store to get a nano sim as the z30 micro sim wont work in the passport, took my phone with me and i got a lot of attention from both store staff and a few customers. Looks like a few are going to be buying a passport from cpw as they all asked me where they could get one, seeing as vodafail didnt have them in stock and none and i mean none of their staff even knew about the passport.

Suffice to say this phone is getting a lot of attention, walking around town i had it in my hand and a few people asked me what phone it was...so i showed them and they were quite impressed by it especially the trackpad keyboard:D.
