Haye might not have natural physique fir heavyweight but he was a quality cruiserweight.
Yep. That's what ***** me off the most when people knock Haye. He's got a big mouth and has a lot of excuses when things don't go his way but he's a Cruiserweight hall of famer (top 5 ever for me) that just happens to be too small to really make his mark at Heavyweight.

Total publicity stunt, Mayweathers never gonna put his reputation on the line by fighting with MMA rules so it'll be boxing and Mcgregor would get slaughtered.

49 professional boxers have faced Floyd and 90% of them haven't managed to lay a meaningful blow on him what hope does an MMA fighter have?!

Surely Conor is under contract with UFC anyway and they're not going to want to see their golden goose being humiliated so wont let it happen.

There is precedent for this. It could be fought under combined rules.

I am not sure McGregor will care if he loses if he gets the $100M he is asking for. I'd get in the ring with Mayweather for $100M.

I like David Haye, but his comeback is a joke. He has just fought bums and people are switching off. He needs to stop thinking he is the ****, and get some meaningful fights arranged.

He can't do that if no one is willing to fight him. He has to work his way up and hopefully not get injured before he has a meaningful fight

Haye would have to drop about 16lbs to fight cruiserweight again easily done

Bellew just wants a massive pay deal imo unless that 1st round knockdown really did scramble his brain

Haye could have dominated cruiserweight for a generation had he stayed there and not moved up to heavy. Bellew would get hurt

I would've said kg rather than lbs. He's carrying far too much muscle to drop down now so the only option would be Bellew moving up. Either way, it's a Haye victory as you say.

Seems to me that Haye has bulked up quite a bit to get to Heavyweight, doubt he would want to lose any muscle mass to get to Cruiser, only to go back up again.

Secondly, isn't the Cruiserweight limit 200 pounds? He weighed in at 220+ for his last night.

It's obviously doable, the question is would he want to? It's not like he's 25, I doubt jumping up and down with his weight will do him any favours. Plus, what does he gain? It's not like Haye Vs Bellew is going to be a bigger draw than say Haye vs Joshua or Haye vs Fury.

Cruiser weight suxs, My mate fought for the title years ago & got paid **** all for it, hardly got any publicity & I bet people wouldn't even know his name if I mentioned it now. :(

Sammy Reeson
In May 1989 he met Puerto Rican Carlos de León for the WBC cruiserweight title vacated by Evander Holyfield;[3] De Leon stopped Reeson in the 9th round after knocking him down twice — only the second defeat of Reeson's 26-fight career.[4][5] This proved to be Reeson's final fight.

I was at the fight obviously but to be fair De León was a proper athlete/boxer where as Sammy was just a damn good fighter, Think De León had held the title twice previously as well. Me & my mate who I was sat with looked at each other at the end of the 1st & knew which way the fight was going to go. All of us were all booked into a Club up West after the fight & if Sammy had won it would have been one of the best nights of my life but it just wasn't meant to be. We all still went Club after the fight & I can still remember Sammy walking towards me with his big dark glasses on hiding the damage. Long time ago now but good memorys to look back on I s'pose. :)

De León was epic bud a real properly turned out athlete & fast with real snap to his punches, You could see his arm fly out get decent impact & untold sweat fly off old Sammys head.
Think it was the first big event at the new at the time London Docklands complex.

Well weird how my memory is coming back in such detail from old but I still can't remember this & last years events & details.

Read that Muhammad Ali has been put on a life support machine :(

Sad, he's probably the number one sportsman in the history of the world. No-one knows how he feels though. It may be a relief after being trapped in a Parkinsons riddled body all these years to the point where he can't even speak.
