No chance Brook would've lasted that fight. He started extremely quickly but by round 4 GGG was hammering his body and he slowed to a crawl. If his eye socket hadn't gone he would've been badly hurt a few rounds later.

Exactly but equally we can't judge Brook as a middleweight on this 1 fight. GGG breaks everybody down eventually. I'd really like to see how Brook could do against a middleweight like Eubank.

They're both extremely frustrating but I'd take a early stoppage over a late one every day of the week. Also helps that it was his corner and not the ref. Shockingly they know their fighter.

Brook's way too slick for Eubank. He was picking his shots and getting through against a water tight GGG defence and Eubank, to be extremely kind to him, has a defence like a blind quadriplegic.

I think Brook would take Eubank apart. If Eubank went up against GGG he'd have his head taken off.

And I know it's been said, but how good does Kate Abdo look presenting tonight? :D

Brook outboxes Eubank imo.

I agree about Brook's boxing ability however as you say Pigeon, his boxing skills didn't let him down tonight either though. GGG's size and power was enough to beat Brook's speed and skill. I think Eubanks size & power vs Brooks speed & skill will be a much closer contest and an intriguing watch.

Canelo just wont fight him. It's embarrassing the way he has ducked GGG. He'd much rather take an easy world title like Liam Smith's WBO belt.

I can see another Mayweather/Pacquiao scenario. It will be talked about for years and then they'll finally cash in when they're both past their best.

I know from a fans point of view we want to see the big fights but from the fighter's point of view, particularly Canelo, it's easy to see why he doesn't want it right now. Having already been beaten by Mayweather he doesn't want another high profile loss on his record and he's already getting paid big money fighting the likes of Khan and now Smith. If he gets beat by GGG his rep takes a big hit as will his future earning potential. He's best off making as much as he can on low risk fights and then taking the GGG fight later on when he has less to lose.
