He won't bully Wlad around like that. Can he crack the code and get past his jab? Doubt it tbh.
He's got a 5 inch reach advantage and a very powerful jab and just fought Chisora exactly the same thing Wladimir did yet made a mess of his face and stopped him.

I think Fury would actually cause him a real problem but in doing so I'd expect Wladimir to let his hands go and stop him.

Edit: Whoops, it was Vitali :o

Terrible night of boxing, it's a fry cry from boxings glory days of skilled opponents.

Eubank looks like he cant throw a punch without his body swinging wildly with him falling over in the process.

Credit to Fury for sticking to the game plan given he's got a title fight lined up but god was it boring. Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson, Frazier, Ali, Holmes etc etc makes you sad watching these new crop of heavyweights :(

It was a poor show but I'm glad Fury won because he moves on and his inevitable clash with a 'big' heavyweight gets closer. Joshua and Klitschko will KO Fury imo, I'd even fancy Wilder to KO him. Once he loses that huge size advantage he'll be exposed.

I was really disappointed with Eubank Jr, it was a small step up and he seemed to have no idea. Looked amateur with all those wild reckless shots he threw, most of which missed by miles, really sloppy work. Golovkin would have wiped the floor with both of them at the same time.

Tyson Fury will get taught a lesson in boxing by Klitschko. Reach advantage or not, his jab isn't a match for Wlad's and a flush right hander or left hook will drop Fury.

Klitschko can be beat and indeed KOd as he has done previously but Tyson Fury isn't good enough and as an opponent, comparing Chisora with Klitschko is like comparing Coke and Dom Perrignon.

Klitschko is a gracious champion with no inflated ego and a superb boxer and I wish him well.

I would say Eubank Jr looked amateurish, but then amateur boxers usually have sound technique in order to deliver scoring punches.

He just looked absolutely useless and his technique was non-existent with wild lead hooks almost causing him to tumble over. At least he has been found out early so we'll hopefully never have to hear from him again.

It didn't help that he wasn't given any sound advice from his corner apart from how to sit down properly. I saw in a recent interview he said he doesn't listen to or need any instructions because he knows what to do, well this fight showed that he clearly doesn't. The loss may actually be a blessing in disguise for him, he may lose that huge ego but we'll have to wait and see. If he had actually done something in the first half of the fight he'd have won.

Anyone seen the underground street fight video of chris eubank junior when he was 17 and with the wrong crowd?

Its on youtube if I can link it? (You have to verify your over 18)

Saw an interview with Naseem Hamed on SS earlier this week and it reminded me that I never really was into boxing as much when he was in the game. I do recall him being rather cocky but never really saw many of his fights. It just so happens that all of his fights on youtube, here is his first one and the rest simply follow on:

Must admit, what a first fight to have as a pro. Bit of a statement, to say the least.

Nassem had the natural talent to be an all time great, arguably one of Britains best boxers.

Too many yes men, too much money and his hunger for the game went. Even though he won world titles and had many fights in the US he was an unfulfilled talent imo, could have done much more.

100% agree with everything there. A lot of people really disliked Naseem due to his cockiness, but his skill and natural ability was unreal. A lot of his haters are still quick to point out that 'when he fought the first real fighter, he lost', but very few people actually know the full circumstances in regards to the Barrera fight. Naseem had been inactive for a long time and he was well overweight just a few weeks before the fight, in fact he only just about made weight and was completely drained. That's taking nothing away from Barrera, he beat what was in front of him but I have no doubt that had a 100% fit (and hungry) Naseem stepped into the ring that night, he'd have won.

Like it or hate him, Naz was pure box office.... I remember when I was growing up at school and everyone would be talking about the Naz fight. This was during the Eubank era though so boxing had far more visibility.

I can still remember his ring entrances.... Some of them took forever... I especially remember the one where he entered the ring on a 'flying carpet'. Was crazy.

He didn't just beat him, he took him to school, taught him a lesson. If I remember rightly the judges scored it closer than it really should have been from where I was sitting.

There's a very good reason Naseem never took Barrera up on a supposed rematch clause, instead he chose to retire, he couldn't have even been 30? Maybe he decided he had enough money and didn't have the passion for it anymore, or maybe he didn't want to risk getting whooped again, who knows.

Having said that, you can't deny his record over the years he was active, and some of his finishes were breathtaking.

Can't really remember if he had another fight after that? I'm sure I saw an interview with him a few years ago when he said he was coming back, all whilst looking like he weighed 200 pounds :p
