Shocking tactics? He was getting out boxed by a proven world champion yet was always still in there and not phased by it, there wasn't much he could do early on. A bit of inexperience in the 8th cost him but it could have gone the other way, Kovalev was almost done.
In the end though, the accuracy of Kovalev took its toll on Yarde, the accumulation of all those shots emptied his tank, he could barely stand by the 11th. Great fight though and look forward to seeing Yarde come back from this.

I haven't actually checked. I feel like betting against Loma at the moment is just an exercise of how to waste money.
Don't see anyone challenging him until he is the smaller guy.

Yeah it wasn't nice but I'm glad it didn't lead to a disqualification. Edwards was beaten down and wasn't punching back, the ref could have stepped in there and stopped it.

I didn't. I left to grab some snacks as they were announcing the winner. I saw Hearn and Edwards shaking their heads and figured they weren't going to get that lucky.

The illegal blow ended the fight yes. But he hasn't going to win that fight from what I saw. When you're beaten to your knees by body blows in the 3rd and not fighting back it's not exactly going your way.
And like the above poster said. Reminded me of Roy Jones jrs first loss honestly. A win in the bag and then you go and throw it away with a cheap shot.
