I’ll say one thing for Tommy it can’t be easy with your dad and Tyson saying stupid **** before the fight about the Fury name etc. Way to go to pile the pressure on.

Jake Paul should just fight guys like KSI and over the hill mma guys like Nate Diaz

Froch easily the most entertaining part of the whole night.

You guys are funny lol, so much complaining about the match, what did you expect, a professional bout? More hilarious that you watched it whilst complaining the whole way through!

Agreed. It was a boxing match by two complete novices they just happen to have some profile. Anyone expecting a masterclass of how to fight to the Marquess of Queensberry rules were clearly not engaging their brains. These are two low level fighters that even likely an English area champion would beat, let alone English or British level.

Enjoy the freakshow for what it was. I stopped watching around the 6th round but only because it was obvious Fury was going to win, my curiosity was satisfied and most importantly, my stream started to become so unreliable it wasn't worth watching.

What belt was he holding? The I beat a youtuber belt?

Just another WBC belt for whatever they want to make it for. Such a shameless organisation. We Be Crooks, indeed.

I succumbed to the hype and out of curiosity found a way to watch this. It was a small level above farce but several levels below what would normally be part of a big boxing broadcast. I guess I hoped Fury would get sparked out by a celebrity novice boxer. If I'm honest I don't really know who Jake Paul is or what he does other than create content on YouTube. Apparently this scrap was two years in the making which means that both of them should have been at a far higher level than what they showed. Pretty poor stuff and I'm somewhat ashamed that I got suckered in - even if I avoided the ppv.

People have been saying it for years but the truth is there is a lot of money still to be made in boxing, it's just the mega fights seldom get made.

It's the issue with boxing being set up with all the different belt organisations, promotion houses and the broadcasts. I'd like a halfway house between the UFC model but I actually like that in boxing, boxers can earn a huge amount of money and they earn the lions share of the money (unless you're stupid enough to work with Don King) unlike UFC where Dana's pockets keep getting bigger and his older fighters looking to cash out on that Jake Paul payday.

It is really annoying though that the big fights don't get made as often as they should. Like right now, how confident is anyone that we get Fury vs Usyk and Spence vs Crawford this year. I wouldn't even waste £1 making that bet.

We are getting Davis vs Garcia though. That should be a decent fight.

It can be quite simple though. Stop paying for ppv unless it’s actually a fight worth paying for.

Sooner or later the fighters will understand the only way to earn big money, is by giving the fans the fights they want rather than the other way around. Broadcasters can only pay fighters big purses if the fight is going to be on ppv. Vote with your wallets.
