It can be quite simple though. Stop paying for ppv unless it’s actually a fight worth paying for.

Sooner or later the fighters will understand the only way to earn big money, is by giving the fans the fights they want rather than the other way around. Broadcasters can only pay fighters big purses if the fight is going to be on ppv. Vote with your wallets.
It's a bit more complicated in boxing i feel. Keeping that zero on your record is far more important in boxing than MMA. The problem with boxing is that the fights that should happen and are objectively the best to be made aren't necessarily the highest paid fights. Canelo could fight a bum and get paid more than if Bivol and Beterbiev fought.

Fighters are paid depending on how much attention they bring with them. Canelo is that guy as is AJ, before it was Mayweather.

Surprised there's no comment about the recent developments in the Conor Benn fiasco. I've heard snippets of the interview with Morgan and I have to say whoever advised Benn to do that interview needs firing. Benn is like his dad in many ways and unfortunately he has inherited his intellect. Utter nonsense spouted by him for the most part. I'm also massively disappointed in Hearn for even suggesting he will promote Benn again just because the WBC has come up with some fantasy excuse around egg consumption (which Benn disputes). The lad should suck it up, take his ban and then see where he is in two years. Hearn should drop him like a stone or otherwise tarnish his place in the sport - ironic I know to even suggest boxing promoters have any sort of reputation worth tarnishing. Utter shambles.

Key reason I haven’t watched or really commented about it is due to the interviewer Morgan. Utter clown and hypocrite of the highest order.

It’s not really something that interests me tbh. I’m more interested in why the undisputed fight at Heavyweight is looking ever more likely that it won’t be taking place.

It was such a car crash. It's actually worth watching in full because there are plenty of moments you can't believe he thought it would be wise to say

He wont hand over a 270 pagie dossier to the BBOC because, and this is his words not mine... because of pride. If he wants to prove his innocence he sure goes a silly way about it and just wants to play the victim. He should do what Canelo did, provide a hair sample and the dossier full of receipts if he wants to clear his name

Guilty as sin and I say that as someone who really liked what he was doing.

Fury is a clown and it astonishes me that his fans actually believe anything he says. He is a prize fighter so it's his right to earn as much as he can for his bouts but he then says he doesn't care about money or that he donates it all to charity and people genuinely believe he is a man of the people :cry:

For everyone claiming Joshua was the problem for not wanting the fight in December need to revaluate how they see Fury. He gave AJ/Matchroom/258 a week to organise the fight (whilst discussions were ongoing with Chisora for the highly desired trilogy) because he just had to get ready for Usyk in February and now he is doing everything in his power to not make the fight happen.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck.... It's probably a duck. Ducking a man he calls a middleweight.

It’s absolutely a duck one side aka Usyk has already agreed, the other side aka Fury keeps moving the goalposts. He might not be ducking because he’s scared but he is absolutely ducking due to greed.

Anyone buying his PPV will be contributing to his shenanigans. Vote with your wallets people start putting pressure on these people to take the fights they should be.

He's not an idiot. Despite what he says he knows Usyk will be a hard nights work. He struggles with smaller fighters who are mobile - watch the Cunningham fight or even Wallin. He's not as fast on his feet as he used to be especially since teaming up with Sugar Hill.

For a fighting man who'll fight anyone he certainly puts obstacles in the way of big fights being made. Has no trouble fighting Wilder, who other than a big punch has atrocious boxing fundamentals, or his ol' pal Del-Boy but when it comes to legacy defining fights or facing a rematch, he avoids them like the plague.

And people want to act like he is an ATG. In the words of Warren, do me a favour.

What I find strange is that if he beats Usyk not only will he receive the lions share in the rematch but pretty much every fight after.

I don’t believe it’s purely about money, I think like others, Fury isn’t as confident as he makes out.

This Fury and Usyk rubbish is why boxing is on the decline.

Boxing is a joke at the best of times because of the nonsense business politics.

If this doesn't happen then how can anyone expect people to stay engaged with "big time boxing"?

Surely a few million here and there when you are going to get millions anyway is worth sacrificing this one time for what is essentially the top prize ? Maybe that is naive.

It's like 2 football teams refusing to play the final after getting all that way and missing out the opportunity to be the last one standing...

Everyone wants Floyd purses without doing the work that Floyd did. I get they want to maximise their earnings. It's a dangerous sport and in the words of FMJ, "You ***** dummy; I’m a prizefighter. That’s what I’m supposed to fight for: a prize. Duh!” so no one should be shocked when they want to earn the big cheques. The issue is a lot of these fighters now just see him or Canelo getting paid serious cuts but they ignore the work fighters like that did to get those serious paydays. Now they'd rather pad their 0 and wait for the cash cow fights.

I love the sport of boxing but it's hard to give it a pass. I can see how more casual viewers tune out and I can't blame them at all.

Edit: LOL, Fury now says it's 70/30 or nothing. He must really want to do a sizeable charity donation.

The fights over Fury has priced himself out of it. Anyone buying his fights from now on shame on you.

I see all this talk of boxing fights. They want 50%. Usyk and all this, Tyson’s being greedy. Where I’m standing – Usyk, you and your team are worth 30%. You either take it or your leave it. And if you don’t want it, go and fight Daniel Dubois at the Copper Box and get a few million dollars.
You want to make some real money? Come and fight the Gypsy King. But, I will say, for every day from today that you linger and mess around, I’m going to deduct 1% from the 30% until you take it. And if you don’t take it, fight Dubois for two million dollars.
But how in the world could you ever offer me a deal? Not possible. Tick tock, tick tock. Pussies.”
The adulation has clearly gone to his head.

Lol he's such a pleb

He needs to remember how boring his fights are. He's never had an entertaining fight, Wilder fights maybe, just because of the knockdowns and drama. But he's never been that big of a box office pull. But let him continue to kid himself and pretend like he would actually take the fight.

Looks like Usyk is accepting the 70-30 and calling the bs

“Deal. Greedy belly I accept your offer, 70/30, split the fight on April 29 at Wembley.

But you will promise to donate to Ukraine immediately after the fight £1million and every day of delay you will pay one per cent of your purse to the Ukrainian people.”

Fury donated all of his purse to charity before so I'm sure that's no issue for him....

It's sad that Fury is going to destroy Usyk because I don't think anything would make me happier than seeing him beat Fury and then offer him 20% for a re-match.

What do you base 'destroy' on? Who has Fury faced at a similar level and which small mobile heavyweight has he ever destroyed?
