On a sidenote does anyone watch any of tyan booth on youtube? His youtube lives have been hitting the headlines lately for the wrong reasons, but they're funny as.

Ryder v Canelo was brutal. Really great fight.
Only saw the highlights. Ryder put up a great show and I hope he's bagged a tidy purse. Canelo is on the down I reckon. I hope he doesn't tarnish his legacy by trying to go up to Light Heavyweight again. He should leave it to Bterbiev, Bivol etc. Wonder what's left for Ryder now at 34?

Looks like he could get the golovkin fight next which would be another decent payday, and a fight he has half a chance in now given golovkin's advanced age.

Hopefully a couple of big fights left for Ryder.

Canelo has had a lot of fights now and maybe is slowing just a touch.

i cant wait for that, very risky since 2 losses in a row and i doubt he will ever get his mega fight for all the belts
A fighter should want to right a wrong and he did much wrong in that fight. I hope he does win and I hope he finally get a shot at a title.

What's all the beef with Ben Whittaker doing a bit of showboating? Personally, I love it. Boxing is entertainment and showboating adds to it. All my my favourite fighters have showboated at some point. Unless you hated fighters like Ali, Roy Jones Jr, Whittaker or Prince Naseem? Showboating is part of the game. And it's working. He's got you guys invested. You'll tune in to see him get knocked out. Floyd made millions by making people want to see him get knocked out. In boxing you either want to be loved or hated. You don't want to have a personality people are indifferent to as that doesn't put bums on seats or make people buy PPVs.

Ben's doing the right thing, stop being so soft. lol.

Love Joyce but Zhang has his number. It's like he didn't spar any southpaws during camp. I expect Joyce doesn't actually want the rematch but wants step aside money.

All the fighters you named were elite fighters it’s yet to be seen if Wittaker will be elite or not. I think people can accept it if you can back it up especially against top level opponents rather than spoon fed build em up level opponents.

Of course it remains to be seen quite how good Ben will get (I suspect high, for my eye-test he looks naturally skilled) but look what his showboating has done. It's got people talking about him and he is now in the mind of people. Personally I loved how he was talking to Azeez throughout the fight. I love his levels of confidence and self belief. It's not like Hamed was banging out the worlds best when he was showboating and people loved him for it.

Him showboating has got him in the eyes of the public. Some will tune in to be entertained by his style and confidence whilst others will tune in to hopefully see him get knocked out. End result is people are tuning in to watch his fights.

I don't know what it is with British fans but they just don't like when a fighter is confident within themselves. Everyone has to be humble at all times :o Combat sports require the participants to have bonkers level of self confidence bordering on delusion. I like it because if a fighter is exuding confidence, I have confidence within that fighter to get the job done.

I've liked Whittaker ever since he was annoyed at winning silver/losing gold at the Olympics. His attitude shown he was in the right place and I've been a fan since and now he is matched up with Kronk, or as close to Kronk as can be, I think he's going to be a problem in a few years.

I agree I don’t mind a bit of showboating and there were none better than Prince Nassem. I can also do understand why it turns people off.

The problem with showboating is when it ends up backfiring.

That's the best bit about showboating! I love when a fighter tries to do it and gets countered but I don't mind when a fighter does it successfully. There's no space for humility when you're getting punched in the face by an opponent. Then there is the tactical element of showboating. Annoy your opponent and lure them into making mistakes that you can punish.
