todays boxers are just better
So now they’re just better? Thought it was cause they are bigger and stronger? You’re chatting crap again mate.
Ali, Foreman, Tyson - if they’re born today (with the same physical traits they were born with years ago) but benefit from the same training and dietary advancements of the modern era, any one of those 3 would clean the current heavyweight decision right out.

I just think he'll find a way, he always does. They are both on the decline, but Fury will almost certainly be too big and too strong. He'll do what AJ didn't do, bully him into submission.
I'm not so sure, those Wilder fights were quite hard fights, and he's been up and down in weight since then. I think Usyk will also be too smart/quick to be bullied. But let's see!

Yep, I could be calling it wrong, but this is what I think will happen. Can't wait to see.

I just hope it's a close and exciting fight, with Fury ultimately doing what Dubois didn't do and knocking him out when he's down.

Aye, he really let him off in that one considering. Was shouting at the screen FFS Daniel, at least go for it. Alas, he's not got that killer instinct Dubois.
I'm rewatching the whole fight now, Usyk didn't really dominate did he, now did he just stay in second gear because he didn't need to push on or did AJ flatter him?

I think AJ definitely didn't do as much as he could, also think Usyk is on the decline. The question, which I think has merit, is has Fury declined more. Those three Wilder fights were brutal, when Wilder was in his prime and knocked out everyone. He put fury down what, five times? At least two of those were pretty much career ending knockdowns.

Yeah I rewatched those fights as while ago and they really were tough fights for both. Even ignoring the knockdowns Fury took a couple of really big shots clean to the face, one of them in particular you could see his whole body/neck etc shake as he absorbed it. Add on the knockdowns... That's a lot of punishment.

I guess the saving grace for Fury here is that Usyk doesn't appear to have massive KO power.

I'm actually thinking more 50/50 now. I was set on Usyk before.

Yeah 50-50 sounds about right to me, I just think Fury finds a way as he always has done before. I've never seen anyone truly outbox Fury, maybe that'll change tomorrow.

I'm watching highlights of AJ Usyk now :D much more lively than Dubios fight.

I'm back in Usyk camp now :D I don't think Fury has ever fought anyone like this. And he's not great against southpaws apparently? Usky is relentless in this.

I don't see anything past a Fury win

Usyk strength against bigger fighters is is movement and timing, but the issue with fury is he is freakishly mobile for a solid lump,

For me he just wears him down by round 7

I think the fury of old was mobile, but since he switched trainer he sits on his punches more now.

The good thing is that there is so much debate and no clear favourite. We know what we will get with Usyk. He is predictably professional in his approach and one of the most skilled boxers I have seen. Fury, you don't know what you will get. He hasn't moved that well since the first Wilder fight and I still am not 100% convinced about his punch power. I've backed the draw. Usyk is a warrior and I'd like him to win for Ukraine.

They say styles make fights and there is a risk that Fury can't work out the slippery southpaw and therefore looks to spoil, using his weight and size advantage. That to me feels the most likely scenario as opposed to skilful tear up.

you must be watching wrong fight. usyk did dominate him. usyk steps on the gas from round 6 thats what he does. then when he dropped dubiois with that beautiful shot he just quit.

Usyk is really good at controlling the distance so I think he won't let Fury do that, he also really light on his feet so should be able to find holes. Hopefully!

If Fury wins he will be insufferable.
