you must be watching wrong fight. usyk did dominate him. usyk steps on the gas from round 6 thats what he does. then when he dropped dubiois with that beautiful shot he just quit.
I did think someone might pick me up on this. Well, he was winning yeah but I wouldn't say he dominated him. It wasn't entirely one-sided, it wasn't far off but there was definitely something there for Dubios, he just didn't take it. I think Usyk's performance against AJ was better even without the KO.

usyk did hammer dubios though. only reason people thought he did well cause he got a low body shot. yet he quit cause he knew he couldnt win.
Define hammer? Easily win on points, yes.

Hammer as in pull him apart, land lots of power shots? Have him troubled? Not really. He did land a lot to clean shots but Dubios sort of gave up at the first real sign of danger. In some ways I don't blame him, he wasn't going to win, and lived to fight another day.

OK I accept he did dominate, in terms of being ahead on points.

That's sort of what Usyk does. He tires you out physically but also mentally. Low blow aside he saw off the best of Dubois and then started to beat down on him. He did the same with Bellew albeit that was at Cruiserweight - slow start but wore Bellew down by just being relentless and then very clinically finished it. Crucially he can take a punch and when he gets a fighter going he keeps the pressure on but not in a reckless way that risks the gas like we've seen with AJ.

Seriously don't get the usyk hype. He's not fort or beat a decent heavy weight, he's an amazing boxer, but not the right size to face a titan like fury. I just don't see how he beats Fury, if Fury is on it.
check his amateur record hes a gold medalist hes won at numerous at numerous weights probably one of the best boxers of our gen. he has beat people like fury made AJ look like a clown . dont under estimate him.

Agree is is one of the best, but he's against something completely different now. AJ at the time was a clown, he basically turned into a spud for 4 years after the Ruiz fight.

Might have been tempted to watch this if it was at a decent arena with a crowd and some atmosphere but they'll not be seeing my money for the garbage they keep serving up in SA.

Sadly SA is the future of boxing when they can pay what they pay. If any sport needs some complete ownership, overhaul and reform it's boxing

The flip side is .... Without the oil money would this fight even be happening?

Something needs to change though.

I thought I wanted Fury to win tonight as he's a Brit and sometimes can come across as a decent person.

But this whole circus vs the way Usyk has conducted himself.

I think I am just sick of this whole Gypsy King rubbish now.

Or is that maybe their point, to make it such a bloody circus to generate more interest...

I dunno, just find it cringerworthy now.

But then saying that I must have watched the 3rd Wilder fight now at least a dozen times as it was so entertaining.

When it was on live I screamed at the KO and woke the missus up lol...

The difference between Fury and Lewis, is that Fury hasn't lost to two bums (McCall & Rahman) like Lewis did. ;)
Even so I don't see Lewis losing to the likes of Fury, especially the more rounded mature lewis as he was in the latter stages of his career.

But I will respect your opinion as one, your entitled to it, and two, we will never know :)
