I’m not against it but I will not be paying for it. He was never going to take a dangerous fight with the undisputed waiting in the background.

I don't even know if I'll watch it live. Probably watch the highlights in the morning, if I can call them that.

Appears that the Shields vs Marshall event was a big success. 20k in attendance and 2million viewers. That is a fantastic start for the sport. Watched both main and co-main fights again from the weekend. Had Shields 8-2, maybe 7-3 if I'm looking to give Marshall a swing round. Mayer vs Baumgardner was close but certainly not a robbery. On rewatch Mayer was just too inactive and missing with a lot of shots that looked like they landed on first viewing. Close fight, could go either way depending what you prefer but not a robbery.

I've been watching a lot of fights with the commentary off the last few years. I watched the Mayer Baumgardner fight without audio at first (partner was watching TV and I had the fight on the iPad) watching it back with Sky's commentary. **** me they were obnoxiously biased in favour of Mayer. Everything Mayer done was being hyped up whilst Baumgardners efforts were going unnoticed.

All in all though, what an event. All of the ladies came out and put a show on. How is it Caroline Dubois has far superior skills to her brother! She is going to be special.

I'm undecided in how I think women's boxing should go. On one hand I feel they're suffering from the 2 minute rounds but when I think about it, they're flat out for those 2 minutes as there's not much time to make an impression for the round. It makes the rounds very entertaining and I think with 3 minute rounds they'd slow down and perhaps not be as exciting. I think I'd rather they extend it to 12 rounds for championship fights or maybe even back to 15 rounds but at 2 minute rounds.
Thing with 10 round fights is you really can't afford to lose\take rounds off whereas a 12 round fight how many men have we seen intentionally give away the first round or 2 to have a look at the opponent?

Wilder trilogy ok fine with me but this what a waste of time for boxing and if its on PPV its another joke what is happening this year.

I mean it's better that Del-Boy gets a payday over Charr but it's pathetic and this will 100% be a PPV. I hope it tanks. They never did release the numbers for Fury vs Whyte and you just know if it did good numbers Frank would be telling everyone who would listen. Fury isn't the draw he thinks he is.

WBC inform that winner of Wilder/Ruiz will get title shot and if Wilder wins i dont want to see 4th fight with Fury.
That has nothing to do with Fury fighting Chisora.

I know but this is reality and shame its all about money and easy fights and for me its should be AJ instead of Chisora or Joyce and 100% Usyk but he want have a break this year.
But both of them fights post a risk to Fury. He may win them but he might not, or he might get an injury/cut ect. That poses a risk for the fight between him and Usyk.

Look it was unlikely Fury was going to fight AJ. I know everyone got excited about it but the timing was all wrong.

But who would he fight?

Fury? I believe with the WBC you can have a voluntary defence with anyone within WBCs top 15 rankings (correct me if I'm wrong) so lets have a look at the top 15.

1.Wilder
2 Ruiz Jr
3. Sanchez
4. Makhmudov
5. Helenius
6. Joshua
7. Whyte
8. Wallin

9. Bakolie
10. Kossobutskiy
11. Parker
12. Ortiz
13. Hunter
14. Chisora
15. Hrgovic

He has literally picked from the bottom of his available rankings. But in the interest of fairness. Wilder and Helenius just fought so they're not options, already fought and beat Wallin/Whyte, He wont fight his bum-chum parker who is coming off a utter beatdown and the fight between himself and AJ failed to materialise for one reason or another.

Out of the remaining names I'd love to see him fight Frank Sanchez as I think he's going to be a special talent going forwards. Michael Hunter would've been a good fight to have before Usyk as Hunter is a small mobile heavyweight and these are the type of fighters Fury has had issues with in the past but seeing that is exactly what Usyk is, it would've been good practice. Hregovic would've been a good name to take and he looked rather poor last time out against big bang Zhang.

Ruiz Jr would've been a good scrap but I believe he has to face Wilder in a final eliminator. I also wouldn't have minded Martin Bakole. I'd much rather he fight a new fighter with a different style rather than fight Chisora for a 3rd time.

The time was wrong you right but for me now i want Fury/Usyk next year and if he wins its no piont to fight AJ if you know what i meam but we will see.

There will always be a point to make Fury/AJ. Same as I'll always want to see AJ/Wilder. Styles make fights and all these guys need to fight one another.

We have the same issue with the 130-140 divisions. Haney, Garcia, Davis, Lopez and Lomachenko should've all been fighting one another but Haney looks like he is going to be moving up. Then you have Stevenson going from 130 up to 135. I really, really want to see Haney vs Stevenson. I believe right now Haney is the best 135lber but had Stevenson been in the division I don't see anyone beating him. He's like a young Mayweather

Ortiz is coming off a loss. Ruiz maybe an option a some point but he’ll be fighting Wilder next. Sanchez has no profile, or Makhmudov. To be honest regardless of rankings l, Chisora poses as much of a threat as any of the others. For all you know he may have reached out to some of them.

I’m a critic of Fury’s for many reasons but not with this fight. Sometimes we as fight fans can be a little entitled.

Chisora was a bit lucky to get that nod over Pulev. I'm glad he did but if he lost that he would've had 14 losses on his record. I don't think Ortiz losing to Ruiz Jr is any worse.

Are we really going to use a profile argument to defend Fury? What profile did Schwartz, Pienetta or Wallin have before Fury picked them from obscurity?

Chiarosa doesn't pose as much of a threat as Sanchez or Hunter do and if you genuinely believe that he does then I'd love to have some of the stuff you're smoking. Don't get me wrong. I love Chisora and I'm glad he is getting a payday but there is no way to defend this match other than a mate giving his mate a payday.

I don't think it's entitled to expect a fighter who claims 'there's not a man born from his mother' that can beat him. If you want to have that energy then you need to back it up with credible opposition. He's a champion, he should be fighting live opposition. It's a shame Joyce isn't in the WBC rankings but there are some still credible opponents he could've took.
