OK well I just phoned the support line, I'm not sure if I believe them or not but they say that there is nothing wrong but the content is just not available on the PS4 yet.. that includes the Free Fall map..

They said when it becomes available it will be there but that is up to activision if/when it becomes available.

Can anyone please confirm if the Season Pass and Free Fall map is available on PS4? I still can't get either and not sure I believe tech support...

Loving this game at the minute. There's something about (all) CoD games where they're just fun.

Is there any way to set the matchmaking to only look for UK players? My new headset came today and I'm feeling sociable, but for some reason on the PS4, no one talks (probably because the included earpiece gives you ear cancer), or it's all foreigners; and who likes them?

How can I be better at cod ?? Any tips ? Some games I can smash everybody and do really well, other games I get smashed :(

Being successful in CoD isn't just about having a good aim or playing smart, you have to know how the engine and certain other things work and how to take advantage of them. I'm not talking about glitching or exploiting but more stuff like finding and experimenting with class set ups that don't follow the cookie cutter set ups already out there. I'll list a few things that helped me, some are obvious to me but for some reason they're often overlooked:

1: Are your settings okay? Brightness? Game Volume? Sensitivity? Don't be afraid to mess about with things like these. If you find yourself losing control of your gun in gunfights, lower your sensitivity. Likewise if you find yourself a bit slow to get your crosshair onto an enemy, raise the sensitivity.

2: Map knowledge, this is a big one. I feel like my aim is average, there's many out there who have better reactions and aim than I do so usually in the first week of a CoD release I don't do well because I have to rely on things like that to get kills. Once you get more familiar with maps though, you can learn how to approach them and it varies depending on which game mode you're playing. If you play a lot of domination like I do you'll want to find the best routes to 'flank' certain flags if they're being held by the enemy team, you'll also want to find the best vantage points for defending a flag

3: Right setup for the right map/mode. I understand people have their favourite guns and perks but I've seen people running around Stonehaven with a K7 and I think, why? The majority of battles on that map are medium/long range so at the very least I would be thinking about equipping an assault rifle. I actually use an LMG on that map though with a tracker sight just to weed out the snipers. Similar thing with perks, if I was playing a game mode like Blitz I would be making sure I was running Marathon and Agility to ensure I was moving as fast as possible.

4: Iron sights, get used to these if you can. If you can use an iron sight on a gun effectively, that's one free slot that can be used toward something else that's even more useful say a silencer or perhaps extended mags.

5: Killcams, depending on the situation/game mode you're going to want to pay attention to these. A lot of people don't and just want to get back into the action as soon as possible but personally if I die I want to know what happened and how I could avoid it next time whether that be forgetting to check a corner or not spotting the sniper in the guard tower.

Bit of a mouthful there, but I hope it helps.

Killcams are only helpful to find which corner somebody is sat in, using a silenced gun and with Off The Grid on, so you can go back and kill them.

There's more things to examine in a killcam than just that, you might see where certain enemy team mates are not just the guy who killed you. Is there any IEDs laying around that you might need to look out for? What perks is he using? How can you kill them, do you have to shoot them or can you possibly chuck a grenade or a c4 in there that'll do the job better. You look at all those kind of things and then decide is it even worth going back? There's been times somebody has killed me and I've just decided there's no way I'll be able to go back there without dying so I just find a different route to go on with my business.

It says that but it's only a few MB. Nothing interesting in this patch just a currency fix for aus, canada and somewhere else

Just spotted this on the cod forums:

UPCOMING IMPROVEMENTS TO CALL OF DUTY: GHOSTS

We wanted to give everyone a heads up on some of the things we’re working on here at Infinity Ward. The following is a short list of some of the key improvements we’re looking at for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Spawning: Spawning is one of the most talked about subjects in Ghosts, and it’s one of the most talked about subjects here at the studio as well. We’ve been addressing bugs with the current spawning system, but feel we can do more to make the experience better. We are currently working on significant changes to the spawning system based off of the learnings and play data that we have gathered over the last 5 weeks. Work is progressing here and we recently had our first internal playtest of this new system. The designers are working feverishly to get it ready to go live and we will keep you up-to-date on our progress.

Weapon Balance/Sniper Rifles: We constantly evaluate and re-evaluate weapon balance. Any changes we make have a ripple effect throughout the game so we test things heavily before they go live. After much feedback and many hours of internal testing, we recently made adjustments to the MSBS.

Sniper Rifles are something we are also looking into; as we said before, we changed Sniper Rifles from MW3 to Ghosts. Those changes are:

  • No aim assist from the hip, which was a huge part of how Quick Scoping worked in previous games. Players now have to aim unassisted until fully scoped in.
  • Hip fire reticles for Sniper Rifles were removed and hip spread was increased drastically. This reduces the effectiveness of hip firing with a Sniper Rifle.
  • The Quickdraw perk’s Aim Down Sight (ADS) speed scale was reduced significantly for Sniper Rifle.

Moving forward, we are testing adjustments to address the Time to Kill for Sniper Rifles versus other weapons. These Sniper Rifle balances include:

A reduction in the flinch benefit of the Focus perk.
An increase in overall ADS time.
Sniper Rifles with a silencer are being changed to a chest-up kill instead of a waist-up kill.

We will continue to monitor the data and balance these weapons accordingly.

Hacking/Cheating: We have a dedicated Online Security department enforcing our online code of conduct for Call of Duty: Ghosts [click here]. This team is actively banning cheaters, cleaning up the leaderboards, and fixing hacked stats. The development team is fixing hacks and exploits as we find them. Please refer to the patch notes for a list of security fixes we’ve already addressed [click here]

And you can help! When you report someone in-game, it goes directly to our Online Security team and they investigate every issue. You can also report issues to Activision Support, either through twitter (@ATVIAssist) or online [click here]

Squad Points: We are making a change to the amount of Squad Points your soldiers earn. For ranks 1 - 5, each rank up will now give you 5 squad points (increased from the usual 2 squad points). So each Squad Member that you take to level 5, you’ll get 25 squad points.

Operations: We are looking at large, potential changes for Operations. For instance, we are looking into increasing XP rewards for completing operations. More info to come.

Infected: We are in the process of adding new loadouts to the Infected playlist. This is currently being tested internally, so be sure to look out for more variety in the future!

New game mode: We are in the process of adding a new Heavy Duty playlist that increases player health. We would love to hear your feedback on this new mode, so make sure to try it out.
