**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

I guess they knew it was going to shut down some weeks before. I was in there and the staff basically ignored everyone. Was pretty empty. It can't be a cheap place to rent.

Had my mi mix 3 5g for a few days now and it's made me realise I have absolutely no need to get an expensive phone again.

It's faster than my s9 was and it only cost me 230 quid.

Snapdragon 855 is enough for me it seems!

Yeah, promotion directly from them earlier in the month.

Just seen the specs for Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and I'm actually pretty interested but not sure on availability in the coming months with everything going on.

The Mi 10 will apparently be priced at £699 for 8GB RAM/ 128gb storage and £799 for 8/256. The Pro will not be officially available.

If the prices are true, even the "budget" manufacturers have decided they want a slice of the premium pie. At those prices, they'll have hardly any takers against the more recognized manufacturers.

No Mi 10 Pro for the UK so I read :(
Oh well, time to move on

That would be a real shame. Is it going to the rest of Europe? As long as it is, then we will have an international rom and not just a Chinese one. I'm sure we can import them as we used to. I was looking at the mi 10 series as a possible replacement for my mate 20 Pro at the end of the year. Hope the price comes down by that time when they realise not many will probably have them at £700-800.

Find out the real pricing on 27th hopefully.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is also down to £379 from Xiaomi directly so mildly tempting. Has everything I want including the headphone jack, although if I'm upgrading would have been nice to have a higher refresh screen but I am asking too much for the money.

The source for the pricing info I gave for the Mi 10 was one of the well known tech news websites, though I read so many I've forgotten which one it was. Other sites have not yet made claims about UK pricing, but the conversion from other currency suggests that £699/799 might be higher than the reality.

Tech Radar had prices pegged at around £440 to £550 depending on the model, so even with VAT prices should be lower than recent rumour. Plus Xiaomi have their 5% profit thing going and surely know they would price themselves out the market.

They have now said "wait till the 27th" for us in the UK.
You got the price right.

The Chinese version is £650 but no band 20
