Ordered the OnePlus 13 12gb/256gb CN version which will flash oxygen £558.37 all in

Upgrading from over 3 year old Xiaomi Mi 11 should be a nice jump especially battery life

In a citilink I think it was (hk), I saw the op 13 for about £700 today but it was the 16gb 512gb. May go back and ask about the 12/256. They said it was already on global version with Google despite not being released. £558 seems a good price. The nord 4 I was looking at is no cheaper due to UK discounts. The oppo find x8 pro is around £750 here and the vivo x200 pro the most expensive at around £850.

Black 12gb/256gb seems to be out of stock

Pretty sure global oxygen rom hasn't been released from what I've read it's pre release EU oxygen but you'll be able to update to full once it's officially out

With Chinese version Vivo , oppo you can't flash them you'll have to stick with the Chinese rom

How to guide

The OnePlus 13 global launch is at 3PM today. I won't buy one direct from them because the prices are always ridiculous compared to the Chinese versions. But I will be seeing just how much more they want people to pay.

Loving the OnePlus 13 had it 2 weeks , Chinese flashed wth oxygen

The included case is nice quality not the usual tpu case, also outside of china no charger included

Which seller did you get your Chinese 13's from? Does Android Auto still work once flashed to Oxygen?

Trading Shenzhen few posts back they also have guide how to flash , yeah android auto works , but I would hold out for now the oxygen is pre release version, I would wait and see once full oxygen is released and it's working without issues and get ota updates as normal

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'll leave it a month or so before buying one.
Thats actually come in cheaper than I was expecting - every OnePlus launch for the last few years has been higher than I was expecting so thats a nice wee bonus
OnePlus have an offer at the moment where you can get the 16GB/512GB version for £899.

Typical OnePlus hyping up the brightness of their new screen when actual test show it's OK... but nowhere near class leading. Google spank them and then some.

I am disappointed in the build quality of Xiaomi tbh after 1,5 years of use.

I have a Xiaomi 13, the global 12gb/256 version (EU is 8gb).

In that time I have experienced:

- Update issues, nova launcher broke when going from MIUI to HyperOS
- Update issues, one particular version of HyperOS would not reboot properly ( stuck ir reboot loop), I would have to boot into safe mode once and then reboot again for it to work. This happened on a holiday so very stressful
- Charging port is rubbish (no short circuit or water protection), I woke up once because of a sparking sound, it is because it kept trying to charge with water in the charging port. Next day a PD charger would cause it to smoke.
- Poorer pd cables give issues with it charging/not charging, even original Samsung ones, it needs ''snug'' cables.
- Power button issues, today I had an oversensitive power button after a long hard press, which meant the phone would be in a reboot loop. I had to voilently press/release the power button for over 100 times in 15 mins for it to ''fix''. It also tried dialing 911 because of this...
- After 1,5 years of use, the battery is **** poor, poorer than my last Huawei after 4 years of same use.

I definitely consider it poorer build quality than Huawei and Oneplus.

I'm soon going on a 5 week holiday in Cambodia and Laos and need a reliable mobile. I am tempted to go for Oppo, OnePlus or Honor...

Looks like OnePlus isn't generous with flashing this time

OnePlus 13 CN can be flashed to oxygen but it breaks the carrier so sim doesn't work to get it working you need to use the carrier files from colorOS but if you do future ota updates it breaks the carrier again but if you have bootloader locked you need to format data to flash the carrier files

Another way is to keep bootloader unlocked and rooted so you can manually update and fix the carrier without losing data but with this you need to do additional fixes to keep bank apps , Google wallet working because the bootloader is unlocked and it's rooted

Thought it would be like OnePlus 12 simply just works once flashed receives ota as you would normally, guess OnePlus dont want people importing the cheaper CN version and flashing, but having used OnePlus 13 and oxygen it's so fluid very impressed so will look for UK deal to pop up and return the CN OnePlus its still early days so something might be done to fix it

I've just bought a new 512GB blue Oneplus 13 with the magnetic Airvooc charger and an official sandstone case for £790 from Ebay. Quite happy with that price.
