**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

Take a pic of the Voltage and current specs on the charger please...

Best I could do. Light is bad and the camera on the Poco F5 isn't all that.

Thanks. Is it USB A on the plug side?

Also..

67W & 120W are both proprietary technology from Xiaomi just like BBK has those Dart/Dash technology on their Oppo/Oneplus phone.

their usb A cable had an additional pin to include some power delivery spec. no aftermarket cable will work.

Something along these lines...

I remember this from the days I had oneplus phones. The stock cables have an extra pin etc.

I think I still have the original cable. Turbo charge whatever that is, is still good. I might see if I can get an original cable from somewhere then.

Thanks for that. Everyday is a learning day :D

Been running my poco f5 for a little while (love the fact it has a 3.5mm jack for ma tunes)
Had held out updating from miui to hyperos due to bad reviews, however took the plunge and all seems ok.

Some differences to get used to like hiding apps, the native poco launcher functionality worked well on miui, but not as good on hyperos.

So just installed Microsoft's Launcher for android and it seems good. Can hide all apps (hyperos prevented hiding of core system apps which was annoying)

Might update in the new year, but got to have a 3.5mm jack.

The Nubia's look pretty tasty, but dont play games on phones, as long as the camera is half decent, then might see if they come down in price.

Think it's time to buy for me
Global can now be flashed on Chinese version

This is the pre release EU oxygen shouldn't be long for full release

Anyone using a realme gt 6 or one plus nord 4? Need an upgrade from an old nord 2.

I use the Nord 4 and really like it. Battery can last 2 days and the 100w charging means it's charged in 15 minutes.

Camera is fine for what I use it for but I do miss the camera from my Samsung with the live photos though.

not the same of sorts but my dad got the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra this week and it's genuinely pretty awesome at £650?

The only downside is that the camera is visibly lagging behind the other flagship competition but otherwise everything looks rather great, 3 years of updates, 120W wired charging, wireless charging, IP68, stock-ish Android but with some bloat installed like LinkedIn and some bs games and 1TB storage as standard?!

If camera is not of importance then seems like a strong alternative to many other phones I'd say.

One thing I will give OnePlus massive props for (and I'm sure other brands are as good) is their AI eraser. Genuinely impressive how it can remove people from photos with impressive accuracy.

I think I may hold out for the one plus 13. I can probably get hold of one now abroad but it's probably region locked somehow and I'm so out of touch with phones, ui etc. Battery is starting to suffer slightly on my nord 2, very rarely it doesn't charge warp as it should and I've just noticed the cable housing plug side end has started splitting.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro is in a similar price range but has a good camera, a better CPU and 5 years of security updates. I bought it a couple of months ago as a Christmas present, it only actually cost me £300 after selling the free tablet.

Upgrading from over 3 year old Xiaomi Mi 11 should be a nice jump especially battery life
