im not the person you originally replied too, i just replied with the main differences.

there are 2 versions of the note 3 available though

one uses - Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10

the other - Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650

the snapdragon version is the only one with the sd card slot.
 
Yeah the difference in name between the mediatek chip and snapdragon is the pro. I have just got the note 3 a few days ago. Seems good so far. Only had one full days use so far. Did someone say the global ROM is out for this one now or is it still only the redmi 3?

in some ways i wish id gone for the redmi note over the honor 7.

there doesnt seem to be much physical difference between the 2 despite the note have the 5.5" screen.

roms are available for the note and also it has a bigger battery.

i do like my honor 7 but i wish roms were available, to me that would make it a much better phone.

emui is the biggest let down of the phone.

maybe soon other roms will come (they have for most other huawei phones)
 
Fair enough. I will stick with 7.0.19.0 ROM then. Phone tells me there is no updates available at the moment but website shows 7.2.3.0 for mediatek China. Would putting this on change everything to Chinese or just update things a bit and leave all my apps and settings alone?
 
Chinese roms usual only have English and Chinese language and no play store installed, if your happy with what you have mate stick with it until the global rom comes out for your version.
 
I've heard resellers like gearbest etc install bloatware/malware on the phones before shipping. Do honorbuy or aliexpress top-one do this? Any got a phone from them?

Tempted to buy a Redmi 3 because of the battery life, but buying from these resellers just seems so sketchy.
 
Yeah I think wherever you buy it from the best bet is to install a new ROM.

In similar news a ROM has just come available for the honor 7 which is good.

Wish I got the Honor 7 when it was for £210 a couple of weeks ago. I see Marshmellow has been released for it.

I'm finding my K3 Note being too bog for me at 5.5" and even with the Cuco92 MM ROM the bluetooth wont connect to certain devices.

MM is still on beta in Europe at the moment which is a bit annoying. The only ROM available runs on MM though. Not had chance to flash it myself yet.

Barclay's banking app doesn't work on rooted phones but if I install the ROM and disable root in SU will it work then?
