Hugest_UK said:Hi,
recieved my letter today from said sister company of the purple shirt brigade and I will not be getting one for launchWhat a major mess up that company has had. If i was in charge heads would be rolling. I called the store earlier today and they hadnt had a single Wii delivered and it launches tomorrow. This is the main store in the high street of a major Uk town!!!! Note to self never shop at that store again.
Oh well i just phoned my local supermarket and they have had a lot deliveredBut the guy on the phone said they have not decided if they will be sold at midnight tonight or 6 am tomorow morning??
Despite a radio advert saying they will be on sale at midnight. Needless to say i will be there before midnight with a megaphone and no matter what they say they will give me one lol
Cheers,
Hugest

One helps you live the other kills time.
One is very necessary the other really isn't at all necessary.

Some people can do both of my examples with no problems.
Me, I cant do neither.

GarethDW said:What about if a child - whose parents were both killed during a civil war when their house was burnt to the ground - needed a prosthetic limb because on the day of his parent's funeral, he was walking to the local church and accidentally stepped on a landmine and had part of his leg blown off as a result. The Wiimote is exactly the right proportions to replace the part of his leg that is not there any more, so he decides to save up as much money as he can, to not eat, buy clothes or use electricity, just so that he is able to afford one.
Imagine how gutted that child will be when he realises that he can't pop down to his local high street retailer to buy a Wiimote for the equivalent of £30 because someone from the opposing tribe had bought up all the stock and was flogging them on an auction site for £10,000 a piece!
That poor boy can no longer walk because he can't afford to pay the exhorbitant prices the Wiimotes are now going for.
Oh, the tragedy. Even Bob Geldof couldn't help out on this one.![]()
WatchTower said:Ahhh tragedy I phoned such and such and they told me I won't get one on the 8th dam it I preordered it back in october for flaming goodness sake.![]()
They did say they would be getting a fresh batch in shortly after the 8th and they'll contacted me to let me know. Grr Now I'm extremely depressed. I was so hyped about friday.
It would be a sister store yes, the same one hugest is talking about probably.CDj-Rossi said:That wouldnt happen to be for a purple shirt store or a sister store of it? I put mine to the front also, and we are getting a measly 3 systems in, im working later on today so im going to have strong words, its not on at all.
Global Convict said:Oh my. About a month ago, I pre-ordered a Wii from a well-known high street store and promptly cancelled it after the US launch due to lukewarm games' reviews.
Last night I get an answer phone message from retailer saying "your parcel will be delivered tomorrow from 8am to 6pm". Wonder if I will have an unwanted Wii on my doorstep on Friday.![]()
