Wasn't excited until recently. Beta should be fun.

Also anyone know what happened to Paul/Turbo_Nuter? He was a destiny fiend, haven't seen him online for a while.....

I'm in the same boat, but it just means that we play the beta tonight, then play the game again in August, then again in September... then the proper game in October :p

My Mrs kept badgering me to ensure the beta was installed on both PS4's (otherwise, and I quote, "My account works on this one so, ha ha")...

Yup! :)

In that time (well between Aug and Oct) I will be able to tell whether my 4770/1070 can handle the game. If not then it is Threadripper / 1080Ti time.. :D

I need to make use of my 144Hz 1440p G-sync screen after all..
 
A 4770/1070 will run the game at 1440p quite well :) A 1080ti was needed for 4k60, the 1070 is the direct equivalent for 1440p. You should be absolutely fine.
 
Slight pitfall of having a Mrs interested in gaming / tech, she will spot that ploy/plan from a mile off... :o

On the other hand she would get her own gaming PC with a 4770 / 1070 so... maybe?!

Kinda wanting to pick up Destiny (1) with the sequel arriving soon (which I'll be playing on PC). Is it still worth picking up the game? Will the DLC codes all still work and are the servers gonna stay up?

Obviously I'd be getting the Collection edition, probably on PS4.

It is absolutely worth picking up, there is an insane amount of content there now.

Server support will still be there for a while I suspect, plus getting D1 will help you get an understanding of how D2 may operate.. IE infusion, strikes, raids etc.

Play in order from the start.. its a superb game with a very frustrating story.
 
Our clan is looking for new members to run in D2 on the PS4 as a few of us have dropped out with work/family commitments. We were 6, now down to 3. We pretty much run raids on friday/saturday evenings (10.30 to the small hours) and run crucible in the week too. We're a bunch of 30-40+ somethings who have look to have good fun and a laugh, nothing too serious. Is it ok to put the clan name on here if people are interested and not in an OCUK team?

You could join the OcUK clan, the PS4 contingent is 60 odd strong as is :)
