This is the same on the app store. Loads of 1 star ratings because it doesn't work for them or it doesn't run on their 3gs.

You can play without anyone else, but you still have to be online connected to the Destiny servers. You may also bump into random players during missions
 
it is single player and has coop missions as well with other people. Or there are missions which you need 2, 3 ppl to do them. At least those where my impressions from the beta.

I so wanted to give me a reason to get the console and the game and i will be looking at reviews next week. There are not many games i want to play in the consoles right now, and with my kfa2 geforce gtx 680 ltd oc upgrade which i found in a really good used price i want more gpu hungry pc games to max that out (apart from Crysis 3).

So if playing story mode, will I come across random players that I can help out or vice versa or is that only in explore mode?
 
just spent my first 3 hours on destiny, so far so good.

i can see that it is designed around having a group of friends involved.

need to find a ps3 clan tho :(
 
Anyone had a public event?

Had one earlier, was pretty mental, didn't get the boss below half life before timer ran put though.

Cool, I wonder how it will work in terms of the story, I would have thought other players would get in the way of story goals, I guess other players spawn into your world when you are at a certain point.
