Really enjoying the PvP in this. I didn't like it at first as it felt a bit sluggish but once you get used to it (and have a decent enough gun) it's really good fun. :)
 
A lot of hate about for this game! Me and a few of my mate are having a blast playing it. Level 18 now can't wait for 20 and get ready for the raids. Is it perfect? No, but it's pretty much exactly what I expected from bungie. The shooting is solid . The PvP is so much fun, if you liked halo multiplayer then you will more than likely love this. The moon is so much fun, the strike on the moon omg.
 
It is actually my first foray into FPS games on a console. Would I have bought it if it didnt come with my console? No, Am I enjoying it? Yes

It isn't as clunky as I expected it to be and in PVP when people snipe me with ease from the other end of the map I call BS but that is only because I cannot do it so how can they? lol

It will take time but ill get there.

I was sniping yesterday on the moon level and felt genuinely bad, its far too easy to snipe if you've got the hang of it, the head hitbox is far too generous.

On the other levels though the sniper isn't very useful at all.
 
Destiny base game has potential, I just think Bungie have done nothing to make it stand out, it's just all very generic and repetitive. The only really redeeming features are the tight gunplay and the art style.

I can't see the two upcoming DLC packs adding anything other than more of the same type of content, glad I didn't purchase them up front.
 
I think one of the reasons why I didn't crack this out of its box is because there was quite a varied response to the game, whereas when something like GTA5 came out, it was pretty unanimous that it was a kick ass game.

I really wanted to like this game, perhaps it is totally unfair of me to judge a game whilst never playing it, but if there are plenty of people out there who don't rate the game, then there is a good chance that I could also be part of that camp, at this stage, Id rather save my £300.

In truth, I envy those people who are loving the game! Who knows, perhaps the DLC content may improve aspects of the game in the near future?

I will be following this thread in the meantime :)
 
By the time I get my copy.... Destiny 2 will probably be around the corner. Still not received my copy of it from Tesco. Now they are going to give me a refund. Good job my son has a copy :)
 
Activision have basically sold a teaser to what the game will be once all the DLC comes along.

It will be great but it will cost a fortune to get there.
