*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Nice one Parsnip. :)

Sorry if I sounded off (and was playing crap) last night. Today will not be a good day. 10:30am vets appointment where we have to no doubt make a decision. Poor little guy can't stand up and, well, let's just say things are messy. :(

Breaks my heart to see him like it.

I won't be on tonight but may be on tomorrow depending how things go.

Hope all goes well mate, always rough when a loved pet gets ill. Like you say, they are one of the family.

Let us know when you fancy another run. With a fresh outlook we'll probably do it straight away.

I will be on tomorrow to take down the Templar. Seen a new strategy on reddit which should solve the problem of people dying (called something like advanced relic strategy or something - basically what we were doing but the team stays by the central conflux). Going to have a film/game night with the Mrs tonight.

At the moment the little guy has had a "Second Wind" (For those Borderlands players out there) after going to the vets. One of his legs is basically numb (nerve damage from the spine) but his vitals are all strong considering his age. We just have to closely monitor him for any further deterioration.

Honestly after seeing him last night I am both happy and sad at the same time. I am happy that he is still with us but sad that ultimately he will get worse before the end. My hope is he drifts away peacefully in his sleep as opposed what his mate went through (We lost her in 2013 due to multiple organ failure. She had a stroke in my arms - I doubt I will every forget the sounds she made :().

Right chaps, i bought this a while back with all the extra dlc addons and what not and never really ever played it, i arrived well late into the game obviously and not long after purchase "The Division" released and that sucked me in, as im about to pre-order Destiny 2 i feel it necessary and somewhat right to actually play Destiny 1, i got as far as the 2nd planet thing i think? cant remember what lvl i got to, maybe 9 or 10. The game was enjoyable, so im going to pick it up and get going again.

Has anyone got any advice for a relative noob at this game? is there anything i need to know or do? the game is best played co-op or solo? im not even sure how many levels there are lol, or what weapons i should be using etc, i cant even remember what class i picked, does the classes make much difference?

Will fire it up in a bit and see if i can figure out what i should and should not be doing :) but any and all advice is more than welcome!

Here is how the group I was in after our group did it.. I've got the whole encounter on the video so you can hear exactly what we were doing.

It's NSFW due to a few swear words, the video recorded the party chat audio also!

As you can see.. we started by throwing energy grenades to move the Templar back a bit then we had one relic holder by himself..

Two guardians purely killing adds and two bubble Titans.

One of the Titans and myself were concentrating on stopping the Templar teleporting right and doing damage to him when possible.

A lot of hiding from my POV but as you can see it gets a little mental towards the end!

I have seen / read a few different strategies that could all work for us. One interesting one I watched was where they had one person on the right basically crouching behind the rock. Get the positioning right and you can block the teleport and be hidden from the bosses splash damage. This person would need protection from the adds - relic holder was doing this. The left can then be held by two Titans in a bubble train.

May not be the most efficient but is also worth a try if we want to try something different.

I also like the "Advanced Relic holder strat" whereby 5 people on your team stay near the central conflux. The relic holder is the only one that moves around to block the teleports (using the shield to block the Templar's shots). If you swing around the back of the central pillars (by the conflux) you should have enough shield each time. This is possibly the most straight forward strategy but puts a lot of pressure on the relic holder.

Cross that bridge when we come to it. :)

That's exactly what was up with my guy, the bone deterioration got to the point where his spine was crooked and was pressing on the spinal cord. Slowly lost the use of his back legs. Kept going for a few months, as you say, I was hoping he would just slip away in his sleep but kept soldiering on until we had to make a call on his quality of life :( At least we got to see him off in peace when they administered the sedative and he drifted off in my arms. Horrible time in the run up to doing it and the vet trip itself but better afterwards, definitely the right thing to do, it was awful seeing him struggling around.

Amazing the relationships rabbits have though...our other rabbit had become very defensive of him and a bit aggressive at times. After he'd gone she sulked for a couple of days but then found a new lease of life, she's tearing around the apartment and jumping up to stretch out on the sofa with us which she would *never* do before.

You have to own rabbits to appreciate em, just as sociable as cats and dogs, people don't realise it! Off to the rescue at the weekend to arrange a rabbit date :)

I've often thought about getting a friend for my rabbit.. but she is incredibly aggressive and territorial.

Love the little **** tho, proper little character.

My advice would be to finish the story missions, grabbing bounties each day you play. Then doing strikes and PoE until you reach a level where you can jump into a raid.

PVP can also be a good way to rank up..

The following gives the "DPS" viewpoint of the advanced Relic Strategy. All the relic holder has to do is move from point to point to block teleport. Everyone else just fires. I can't quite tell if adds would be an issue but you could have everyone switching between boss and adds as required.

Is everyone on tonight?

- OweO
- JPM
- Rooster
- Mach
- Davie?
- Parsnip?

I can't remember if Pete will be back to a run tonight. For the moment I will assume not and get him in a run over the weekend (Please correct me if I am wrong :))

Actually pop me down as a reserve, I'm that confident it'll create issues if I try and get on before she goes to bed.

If you guys are stuck for a 6th tho send me a message, I think if it's an emergency there is more chance I'll be able to convince her.
