This glitch abuse game is a great analogy for the excuses some athletes have in the sporting world: cheat or lose. A lot of my long-time gaming friends have been farming bosses through the broken mechanics because they see the DZ as pointless without the best gear. These are guys who would normally query the point of playing games if you're gonna cheat.

They haven't gone as far as using the health glitches, but probably because they don't know about them.

If this were BF or COD, we'd just change servers.

Cheating and abusing bugs in the game are not the same thing. Its not the same as entry in some cheat code too instantly get some stuff, or duping items and other such things.

I have no problem with people farming bosses using exploits, glitching lobbies to run 16 man challenge modes etc.. but abusing a glitch that gives you an immediate and unfair advantage in PvP is low.

There's a piece of armour that triggers healing when you're affected by a status effect, currently it doesn't switch off so you just throw a grenade on yourself at entrance to the DZ and you then have constantly regenerating health.. The armour talent needs fixing or disabling.

I bought that earlier, had no idea it was glitched and was wondering why I kept going green lol, didn't help me when I accidentally went rogue earlier while protecting somebody at an extraction, he walked through my line of fire twice, I went rogue, he killed me :(

Is there much point soloing it? Probably gives same loot and takes longer. I think I'd rather help a new player through.

Just the challenge of it, I am pretty happy with my gear at the moment, and have almost 900 PxC so didn't need to do it, just wanted to test myself.

I've helped plenty of fresh 30s through them too :)

Agreed, anything that effects PVP is a big deal, anything that effects PVE for me is meh I guess. The better gear indirectly effects PVP but its only really a shortcut/time saving.

For challenge I just match make, at first it was difficult but I have decent gears/build now so I can survive most of the time. Even carry some noobs through, only real issue is at times everyone on my team will rush and die and I have to solo everything due too the position they died in.

Just getting started with this game and just got to Hudson Camp, setup the new base camp whatever it's called to get the 3 wings and have rescued the doc from the hospital so now can start using the health wing. Are there any guides or tips for a newbie around? Anything i should do/avoid near the start of the game where i am? Ta.

Just move around the areas where your level is roughly the same. Don't bother buying anything and deconstruct everything. Save the materials. Missions drops will be enough to get you through all the areas until you hit 30.

Anyone know if the scavenging bug is true?

Your better off having 99% because if you have 150% the one is bugged so you only really have 50%?

Wouldn't surprise me at all, although until I changed up gear my scavenging was at 146% and it felt like I saw more yellow crafting materials. Never noticed a difference in HE loot drops either way.

Sounds like they need to balance the darkzone L30 endgame,

I'm only L20 ish and really enjoying it solo, only been jumped once or twice, 90% of the time ppl are friendly probably because at lower levels getting loot out and levelling up are the aim.

Makes me not want to reach L30 and stay in the lower brackets!

They are putting in a gear rating. Hopefully they breakit up with that.

I loved dz until level 30. Could go in alone and work with other people, there was still the chance of betrayal but it made it exciting. There was also a chance of fighting one or two off but with all the glitching and exploits its virtually impossible to fight people off now.

Gahhh I hate the DZ, just minding my own business farming bosses and not getting into any unnecessary fights.

Went to extract some loot, nothing really that good but good for credits and materials. All was going till about 10 secs left...and boom I get hit by someone sniping me. Tried to run off, went underground and somehow this guy follows me from behind and takes me out. Loot gone and credits, went back and he's taken it all.

I have noticed being on your own, you are more likely to get killed by others especially the ones in teams. Whereas last night a team of 4 of us and no one touched us lol.

Good fun but frustrating to say the least.

I've never had any problem being solo in the DZ...just need to play smart...always know your exit route from an engagement. When you want to extract ideally wait until you know other players are busy fighting somewhere else.....call the extraction and back off a good distance and hide. When the timer's up just hit survivor link, run in hook on your gear. Even if there are several rogues there they'll unlikely take you down before you hook the gear on. Do an overheal and/or chuck some CC in just before and you'll be very unlucky to lose anything.

I have 2 vectors and I'm using this one
•10.6k DMG
•23% Crit hit chance
•Ferocious (Damage against elites increased 13%)
•Fierce (Crit hit chance increased 8%)
•Brutal (headshot damage increased 24%)

Next vector
•10.1K DMG
•24.5% Crit hit chance
•Brutal (headshot damage increased 24%)
•Deadly (crit hit damage increased 26%)
•Swift (13% reload)

The first vector needs 1889 electronics for ferocious and fierce to work (I have 2k at the moment so not an issue), I'm thinking if I use the 2nd vector instead, I can replace the electronics gear and mods I have and switch them for firearms/stamina to gain more DPS and HP. I'm at 180K dps and 58k health at the moment with the first vector I'm not sure if it's worth losing the 13% elite dmg for more overall dps and stamina

Which vector would you use

For me, the second one.

Brutal and deadly on the same roll is pretty rare, I must've rolled 30 vectors and seen it only once, but the base damage was offensively low.

They're both pretty nice rolls mind.

If a player stays alive long enough for the auto healing to be an issue, you're doing PVP wrong.

The proc only has gentle healing and it isn't very fast. If your opponent is staying alive long enough for that heal to out do your damage, you need to re-think your DPS and engaging in PVP.

Medkits, the heal talent, are all vastly superior.

spec survivor link. Only extract when its up and go into hiding after you call the chopper. Leave it to the last possible moment and pop survivor link just before you pop out of cover Aint nobody taking you down while survivor link is up. People can tank full clips of 200k+ dps weapons to the face with barely a scratch to their face. More than enough time for you to get your gear on the rope and send them rogue.

Seems the recent changes to the Dark Zone have just made people complete **** ends, you know, the types that will follow you until you're in an NPC fight and jump you, or run in front of your fire to make you go rogue.

3 levels to go to 50 then I can bin it off thankfully.

Its the dark zone. Its supposed to be scary. You were just lulled into a false sense of security by the fact they made it too hard on rogues in the early days. They over reacted to the beta where people were going rogue non stop because they had nothing else to do because it was a beta and the dark zone was empty. Its back to how its supposed to be now. Stupid having a PVP and rogue mechanic if nobody dares do it because the punishment is too great.

I've been making gradual progress over last few days and am now mainly purple and yellow although finding farming Phoenix credits a drag. Had some OK random groups to complete the dailies as well but after a few ventures into the dark zone recently it's scary how much it's changed since release as regards people going rogue. It's also worrying how little damage I seem to do to some of these players who go rogue on me :(

all about the survivor link. If somebody has popped their signature skill you can't touch them. Only thing to do is run and wait for their skill to run out. Smart players will just find a car to hide behind and dance around it so as not to give the other guy a clean shot. If the guy rogue is in a team of 4 however ... you're ****ed. But its 4v1. What else would you expect ?

Honestly jumping infront of fire was the first thing I did too make someone go rogue. The Darkzone is just fine in my books, as someone that is not as well geared as others in these forums I get my ass handed too me but its how it should be. You shouldn't be able too step in with meh gear, no idea how the game works and just grind your way too better stuff, thats what PvE is for. Darkzone is a different space, a space where you can grind but its not safe, you have too watch your back. Those random dudes following you are either trying too get loot with you or kill you, do you take the first shot?

I honestly think its pretty awesome how it is now, excited for the supply drops, would be awesome if its 100% highend gear, or really high rates so people really fight for it.

DZ is absolutely fine as is, I like the added tension, quite happily go in solo, you just have to be aware, it's no big loss to die, I never count gear as mine until it's extracted either way, I don't give it more than a cursory glance when picking it up either.
