Apparently that's a confirmed in game option from the devs. Would be interested to see the difference it makes.

That's my guess as well, though I'm more interested to see the difference it makes to the graphical fidelity, and how obvious it will be.

Yes. There's a whole bunch of options that weren't in the beta but will be in the release version. Look at the colourblind options as another example.

You can also move the UI around and customize what bits you want etc..

From what I've read its going to have a bit more to it than a simple quality or performance. I read it as though you're going to be asked to choose frame rates

It'll be interesting to see what it ends up looking like with a forced 60fps then. q3a probably lol.

Its got dynamic resolution scaling as posted a few posts back. I suspect it will just scale the resolution down to 720p or maybe slightly lower to get 60 fps.
