It's different because those things do not sit as equals, people are used to the £300 region for a console.

Logically speaking you're right, but the way people feel about money and value often is not logical.

Problem is, most of these games bring nothing new and look like the same gameplay that we're used to, it'd be exciting if any were new IPs that actually did something different/new.

I was thinking £499 when he said $499 so I am somewhat pleasantly suprised. If people spend that much on phones, ipads etc and they are just general consumers then I think they will shift plenty.

429 is a decent price for what you get - but i think it'll be out of reach for a lot of christmas presents

Which makes it £384 lol. Most states in America have VAT also.

Their prices don't include sales tax. Also think there is import tax added for uk/euro region.

PS4 will be £399 MAX. I personally expect it to be £300-£350
