You dunno how much the PS4 is yet ? unless you got some time machine ! That said I can't see it being far off Microsoft's price tag. But I still don't like the idea of paying for Live.

I will still most likely buy both regardless :p although as mentioned I might stagger them buy one at launch and another a year or so down the line.

So actually the One is cheaper if you factor in the Kinect, mid market exchange rate differences and inflation since the 360 release. I think the price is pretty fair for it overall. Whether or not the Kinect is wanted and/or needed is another matter but for what you're getting the price is fair compared to the 360.

I was under the impression that for most people, pay rises haven't kept pace with inflation. So I keep reading, anyhow. Your company of course may buck that trend.

Personally its a way too late, its a niche game which had a great USP originally with the mental combos, things like MVC and SF4 already do all that. Its nice fan service, but to wait til XO seems too little too late

It's the series finale though, the theme of Saints Row has always been moving up in the world, in 1 you were a street banger who rose to the top of the underworld, in 2 you were robbed back to a street banger who again rose to the top. They didn't want to do the same thing in 3 so they made you the CEO of America's biggest corporation and the things you could do and enemies you faced scaled up along with it. And now... well, now your the president. It's only natural that kinda leap in status for the series protagonist would involve more gameplay craziness. :D

Same, a lot of people offered it as the alternative to GTA4 when it leaned in a more serious direction. But Saint Rows just goes bat****crazy in the other direction lol.

Not a fan of those sorts of games.

Not directly in line with inflation, no, but inflation was out of control and I wouldn't expect that they would.

The point was more that just because salaries haven't increased with inflation doesn't mean that the product in question is expensive in today's terms when looking back at a previous product (in this case One vs 360).

Very simple to do but if you calculate the 360s value in real terms add on the cost of the Kinect (approx) and factor in the difference in exchange rates between now and then (say just a very arbritary 1:2 -> 1:1.5), it gives you a good idea of the what you're dealing with. What you'll find is that the cost of the console is what I would consider to be fair... not saying it's worth it because that's different but it's a fair price when you look at it objectively.

Of course the above doesn't take into account any reduction of production costs involved between One and 360 but it's more an estimation to form an opinion rather than an exact science. :)
 
Saints Tow does look like over the top stupid, but the fun kind. Reminds me of Crackdown.

Also, what happened to Rainbow Six Patriots?
 
Is it me or was Forza 5 in-game just look nowhere near the stuff weve seen before with the in-engine trailers? Hmmm hope it was just the stream...

In the 1st conference that said what you get in the box, no headset was mentioned, and you all be surprised how many buy extra controllers, and even so with a game added it's £500 of you hard earned JSA, lol
